Planet Bike Comfort Cork Handlebar Tape Set (Sky Bue)

Great for strollers, too!
I used this tape on my stroller (the original foam was ripped and coming off) and it is amazing! I used both pieces, doing a double layer for added padding. Each piece was the perfect length to go across once. I know it is technically for bikes, but I just wanted to show that it works for other things too. 🙂 My only suggestion is to use your own electrical tape, because the pieces they give you aren't super sticky. So depending on your project you might need something stronger.

Green(er) Giant
I bought this to replace the bar tape on my nearly-new Giant Revolt 2 that got ripped when I forgot to keep the rubber side down. Being a drop bar newbie, I don't have much to compare this tape to, but it does feel squishier than the original tape, and the blinding green color goes nicely with the green accessories I'd already added to my new ride. The tape is also pretty forgiving, and didn't get messed up when I removed and reinstalled it several times. However, I'm subtracting a star because the included finishing tape doesn't stick very well and the instructions basically say "good luck, you're on your own" when they get to the part about wrapping around the brake hoods. Plan on bringing your own electrical tape and looking up some better instructions.

No Adhesive is Best
I hate bar tape with adhesive.Every time I wrap wrong, I try to back up, then tear my tape. With adhesive I'd never make it past the hoods nicely. That requires just the right angle & tension. I back up multiple times to get it the way I want it.Sometimes I look at my bike a day or so later & think "You overlapped too much there." Without adhesive, you can fix it!Instead of adhesive, I wrap my bars with inside out electrical tape. That way the bar tape has something to stick to that will hold the tape in place that isn't quite so sticky. If I make a mistake, I just back up & re-wrap.It's really great to see a major manufacturer of accessories make some nice quality tape without adhesive!

Very comfortable handlebar tape
Excellent handlebar tape. Very soft and has good cushiony feel, much more so than traditional cork handlebar tape. Purchased the celeste color and it was bright and vibrant. Had plenty of tape for my 42 cm bullhorns with extra tape left over. The handlebar tape feels great while riding and provides optimal comfort and grip. Definitely one of my favorite handlebar tapes and I will buy again once this one wears out. One thing to note is that the back is NOT adhesive. Personally I like that because I can rewrap if i'm not satisfied and it doesn't stick to the handlebars. It comes with two reflective bar plugs that say Planet Bike on them and also two pieces of tape to tape the ends when finished.

If you are buying based on price, buy these instead of something a few dollars cheaper
These are holding up really well after my initial fiasco of purchasing cheaper bar wraps that left adhesive on my bars but the padding peeling off. These are much better than the ones that I got for $6 from some overseas ghost company. That being said, they can be a bit slippery when wet, and I'm sure that these are truly a middle-quality bar wrap, but my experience using these wraps has been somewhat skewed by my initial purchase of crap quality wraps, and I am just grateful for having something that works! If you're looking at these vs a cheaper bar wrap, pick these. Seriously. Save yourself a headache.

Cheap Planet Bike Tape Is Better Than Higher Priced Lizard Skin Tape!
This is some of the cheapest AND BEST handle bar tape I have every purchased. I have purchased "Lizard Skin" which is super expensive and I actually like the Planet Bike product better. It's lasted longer than my Lizard Skin tape. I decided to replace my 'falling apart' LS and thought this is cheap and did not expect it to be comfortable or long lasting. I was wrong on both counts. After almost a year I upgraded my drive train and replaced the tape again (this purchase). It still performed as did as the previous version. I have since installed in on three bikes and still love it. I put their white tape on my white bike. Yes it gets dirty but it cleans up easy. I LOVE PLANET BIKE HANDLE BAR TAPE!

Bright, comfortable, easy to fix mistakes
Nice, soft, and bright! I have just got my bars wrapped today, and did a little riding. Comfort-wise, these are very nice. I am not going to say I'm an expert or anything, but I rode for a couple of years on a different tape and this is a wonderful change. The brightness of the color is great, and it really matches the accent lettering on my 2011 Raleigh Revenio 3.0. The black tape that comes with the set was not enough length, or at least wasn't sticky enough to finish the wrap very well, so I just used electrical tape to get it done. Looks awesome, feels great.note: because this tape does not have an adhesive but rather a semi-sticky substance on the underside, it was easy for me to backtrack a couple of times to fix my wrap. It was my first time (lol you never forget you first time right?) and it was a piece of cake.

Grippy when dry. Potentially slippery as heck when sweaty.
None of the reviews I read mentioned this, so maybe it's only my own problem. And I should note that I prefer not to wear gloves while riding. Maybe it's a chemical I give off, maybe it's how my sweat or skin reacts with the rubber, I don't know, but as soon as I started sweating this tape got so slippery it was scary! I almost wrecked the first couple times my hand/s slid off the bars. After that I spent most of the time riding on the brake hoods. Casual cruising on asphalt in spring and fall? NO problem! Love it! Gravel road in the heat of summer? Wear some body armor and make sure you're not behind on your insurance payments. I left it on the bike for a couple years but eventually had to replace it for safety reasons. Sigh....But otherwise it was easy to wrap, easy to unwrap and rewrap if needed. Quite cushiony and almost obscenely comfortable, and yes, very grippy...as long as I didn't sweat. For this last reason, it only gets four stars from me.

Great product
Easy installation as there is a non grip tape on the back but no glue so you can do as many do overs as you like until perfect install! Strongly recommend! Will buy again.

DO NOT BUY!
They cheapened out on a few inches of tape. The recommendation on the box is to overlap the tape 1/3 - 1/2 of its width, using 1/2 for more comfort. I tried 1/2 and I ended up short. Would have needed a few more inches, the equivalent of 3 wraps. So I had to undo the tape and re-install with 1/3 overlap. So much for "more comfort". In addition, the tape has on the back 2 strips of glue. It does not stick! The two short pieces had peel-off paper on the back, but the tape itself, had nothing.

Not impressed at all
Looks terrible. Tears easily. Not a fan. I think I'll have to go to another brand and see if I have better luck

Good bar tape.
I've never used any other bar tape than this, so not much for comparison. With my limited knowledge, this seems like a good product. It has good cushioning and absorbs a lot of impact, it's comfy to hold, and comes in many nice colours. The backside of the tape has a sticky strip, but it's only just slightly sticky, which could be a good thing if you want to re wrap your handlebar. Overall i've had no issues so far, but it's only been 4 rides.

I’m happy
Was exactly what I needed. Comes with bar end plugs and tape to finish ends at bar tops. Nice & stretchy so easy to wrap neatly. Comfortable so far.
