My hands are weakened due to a fall I recently took. I needed something to help me get bottles and jars opened. This thing is about worthless. It works a little better on jars than bottles but none satisfactorily. You have to squeeze the gripper in order for it to open anything. Kind of stupid to squeeze it when my hands are weak to begin with. And I have yet to figure out what the little gadget is for. I haven’t found anything that it opens so far.

We love these tools, but especially the larger of the two we use for gallon-sized water bottles and Gatorade bottles. They both work fantastic for opening bottles and jars. We used to use a gripper pad, but it no longer worked very well for us as our arthritis worsened. Now bottles that we would have avoided to purchase we purchase, since we can open them with ease thanks to the Jar/Bottle Openers. No more pain and frustration. Just a quick twist. Place your fingers in the rubber grooves and turn to the left and that is ALL Folks!!!It’s been three months since I wrote that review and have used the larger, multi lid bottle opener. The rubber is starting to wear and crumble from twisting the lids. I’m so sad, because eventually the entire rubber coating will be torn and gone. The material needs to be more durable and hearty to be able to handle multiple bottles. It shouldn’t fall apart after only three months of use.

These is a short learning curve, no directions but if you grip the blue jar opener from the small end it definitely helps and works well.The small tool is perfect for water bottles.

The jar opener gripper is really not good. It’s to flexible and will slip right off the lid. If you have arthritis, just forget it. Get a different product. I gave it three stars because the included bottle opener does work well.

I have arthritis in my hands and these items are a godsend! I use them daily!

So easy to use and fit just about any top one would try to open. I don’t need to hit it and hope I don’t break it. The arthritis in my hands prevented me from opening things. Have given this set as gifts and recipients still mention how much they help.

I used to be able to open any jar or bottle with my hands. At my age now, I just don't have the strength. This gismo is great, and this is my second one also. I have two places where I need.

Got this as a gift for my mother who has arthritis and has difficulty opening jars. She had no problem using them and has yet to find a jar or container that she cannot now open.
