Joy Susan Women's Casual Daypack Colette Backpack

I LOVE this backpack! I recommended it and demonstrated all of it's goodness to a friend and she bought it right away -she loves it, too. Major selling point: it's durable vegan non-leather -gorgeous! Second selling point: It's soo roomy. I packed it with everything I'd need during my graduation ceremony, looking stylish all the while. I brought along snacks, a large water bottle, my wallet, makeup and keys, other people's items that they didn't want to carry, and the gift ( a handbook) from my professor... I was so happy to have it for that day. As for most bags, it can be hard to dig around and find things, so I have a few tips: pack your items the same way every time -keys and phone in the same pocket, I use the zippered pocket on the back. Use larger items such as books and laptops as a way to divide items, in front of and behind. I put my glasses case and water bottle in front of my large flat items, for instance. I also bought a small pouch to keep track of lipstick and such small items that might float around in the bottom. I find that the sewn-in pockets seem too shallow and delicate for my needs, so I use them only occasionally, but no big deal. My laptop, 13x 9, fits snug and the bag needs "massaging" to close - but I discovered strong metal snaps at both sides of the bag opening that can be opened to proved enough room to get my computer (and more items!) Inside easily. My laptop fits in also if I allow it to fit in diagonally instead of flat against my back. Still room for other items. Because of the shape of the bag - broader at the bottom, I prefer to hang the backpack by it's top loop, to that the material doesn't crease. It may not, but that's my aesthetic preference. The straps are adjustable and comfortable, with a woven belt-like reinforcement inside that gently grips my shirt or shoulders, but it isn't at all irritating. I've used my bag for formal events, like graduation, and also when I take long walks in the woods. Another review mentioned difficulty with the front clasp, I've had no issues with that, and I think it looks good while adding more security. It's easy to clean and the grey color is so classic. My friend bought the burgundy/wine, also classic. Buy this backpack!

It is great with the right number of pockets and it stays on my shoulder. It did have an odor to it that I had to air out
