I’m often at the beach and it keeps the front of the lens protected from sea spray and sand. This UV filter is one of the best I’ve used. It doesn’t affect picture quality at all, and the ridged parts make it easy to grip the filter to remove or attach it. It feels good quality and is barely noticeable on the front of the lens. It comes in a padded plastic box so it’s useful if you need to store it for future use. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the filter came with three individually sealed microfibre cloths which are always handy. They’re good quality and do a great job of cleaning the lens without leaving smears. The only downside for me is there’s no thread on the outer part of the filter, so you can’t attach another filter on top.
