Review: Black sides? - I wanted to like these because they fit so well in my smaller hands. Really comfortable to throw up to the eyes. Eye cups all the way out, otherwise they would black out on me. Even with the eyecups up, sweeping horizontally, I got black flashes at the outer edges. I'm not sure if this is a collimation issue with this particular set or what, but it was distracting enough for me to send them back.

A: That's pretty subjective.  For me, no.  For you... I couldn't guess.  They do have a substantial feel to them but that is because they are a high quality binocular and as you hold them in your hands and look thru them you will be reminded of that.  What I found to be a design flaw is the individual end caps tend to fall off rather than hang attached. A single wrap of tape to thicken the barrel solved the problem.

1) gut justiert, nur minimaler vertikaler Versatz links / rechts 2) scharfes Bild 3) Schutzkappen halten sehr gut besser als die beiden anderen 300€ Ferngläser von Hawke und Minox, die ich vorher probiert hatte, vorallem aufgrund Punkt 1)
