Grundfos 99199622 Pump, Black

Got this to replace a 7 year old Grundfos Alpha 2L 15-150 130 pump that had become noisy. I believe that the Alpha 2L was an early attempt by Grundfos to make an energy efficient central heating pump and in fact I was lucky to get the life out of it that I did. This pump is completely silent and was an easy replacement as it fitted in the original space and the control unit can be orientated in multiple ways to suit your particular need. Very good.

Easy to fit and very quiet in operation. My original was a Grundfos which lasted for 25 years.and was in use every day for hot water and daily in winter for central heating too.

It's fitted and doing a nice job for my heating system.

Very quiet, with 3 fixed speeds and other variable speed settings. The only criticism is that the instructions don’t give enough guidance as to which setting to use (e.g. constant speed or constant pressure).

Much better than I expected not keen on electronics in such a severe environment but have to say this works well and been in use now for over two months is quicker to heat radiators than the old one all though it was the same brand but close to 20 years old

Replacing my old 12yr old Selectric pump. Straight swap and all done in 30 minutes. Much quieter than the old pump and more efficient.

This pump failed after a couple of months so I had to buy another one. I must have been a faulty one! I need my money back please.

The famous Danish Grundfos pumps are regarded as some of the best in the world. I have fitted many of these and not had a problem with any of them. You can also get an app for this pump where you scan an existing Grundfos pump's head in a boiler or on a system and it tells you if you can fit this UPS3 pump's head as a direct replacement. The only thing I don't like about Grundfos pumps is the fact that their instructions are just cartoon-like pictures of things rather than any written explanation. Maybe a picture of a hand pointing or an eye looking at something and you have to try to work out what they mean which sometimes is obvious but other times you could do with some actual text!
