Sustainably harvested 2" x 2" by 6" kiln dried Northern basswood blocks. The wood was harvested in Vermont and Northern New York. It is suitable for wood carving.

These wood-blocks were JUST as described! They arrived in good shape - All ready to use to create items of beauty!The wood is pleasantly soft and, as a result, easy to carve. At the same time, the blocks are of a good shape and size, which makes them comfortable to hold.Buy some soon! You'll be happy that you did :)

easy to carve and finishes well.
I use the wood to carve and shape solid models of aircraft and and more. basswood was recommended by the U S Navy in 1943 for school boys to make identification models for the armed services during WW II.
