KOH-I-NOOR Progresso Woodless Graphite Pencil Set (Set of 6)

Love woodless pencils. What else can I say except no wood to affect the way the product sharpens giving you much more graphite and the ability to use the side of the sharpened much like a block.

These pencils are awesome.

Got them in today and have tried them out. Starting with the HB it was very scratchy feeling just using it to write. 2b is somewhat scratchy during shading and writing. 4b seems smooth most of the time with occasional scratch when shading and writing. 6b is mostly smooth but has a scratchy feeling at times like chips of harder graphite in it, and 8b like 6b felt scratchy but even more so at times. The aquarell had some scratch to it when shading but wrote smooth with no scratchiness. Overall the softs felt like they had chips of hard graphite in them. I have Brevillier's that I am more satisfied with. I think I will resharpen these and see how i feel about them. Perhaps it is the way they were sharpen that makes them feel so scratchy when using them.

For the price I really expected something smoother. I had a set of pentalic woodless pencils that I like much better. I will say that the aquarelle included in this set is really nice.

Qui sono 5 matite in grafite di diverse gradazioni di durezza più una acquerellabile abbastanza simile alle cretacolor, di maggiore consistenza e colore nero, del colore più simile al carboncino che al nero-argenteo della grafite, per capirci. Buon prezzo e buon prodotto da un marchio storico.

Buena relación calidad/precio. Llegó rápido y sin defectos.

Mit den Graphitstiften der Marke KOH-I-NOOR arbeite ich schon seit längerer Zeit und zögerte nicht, sie bei Bedarf erneut zu bestellen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist, dass sie plastikfrei geliefert werden und bis auf die Papierverpackung dank der Tatsache, dass sie keinen Holzanteil aufweisen, keinen Abfall produzieren. Wie gewohnt sind sie hervorragend verarbeitet und machen Spaß beim Zeichnen. Da man dieses Produkt schon für einen kleinen Preis von rund 6,00€ bekommt, stimmt Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis bei diesem Produkt auf jeden Fall. Für mich handelt es sich um ein hervorragendes Produkt mit gelungenem Gesamtpaket, das ich gerne weiterempfehle!

To Start with -These pencils are absolutely superb and eliminate the need for virtually every other graphite based pencil I have.The back story -I was given a 2B version of this make of pencil at my Art Class.They say this make of pencil is 'top end' quality, and I can see why. I was told they are very good for sketching or basic marking out for paintings. After using it once I never let it go . They are wonderfully light and smooth to use and react to pressure from your hand to vary depth of impression. I have used it on cold presse smooth and 'acrylic' type canvasy surfaced paper regularly and its been brilliant. Therefore I have gone out and bought the set shown above and I am very happy with results so far. There is an extra Black 'Aquarelle' pencil included in the box and I have not tested it out yet. I anticipate it will react as would a watercolour pencil. (I usually use Derwent so I imagine this is KOH-I-NOOR's equivalent?) - Hope this long winded tome helps in your decision making - I'd say without hesitation , GET A SET ASAP AND YOU'LL IMPROVE YOUR DRAWING QUALITY OVERNIGHT.
