Stone Tools ST-12 The Original Professional Master Chuck Key

This did not fit my Delta drill press chuck. I am not faulting the company because I believe Delta had a proprietary size that wasn't listed anywhere I could find. This would work well for those that have another chuck with a known key size.

I used this on my DeWalt 1/2" drill at the weekend. First, none of the four keys fitted well. Second, the one that did TWISTED OFF when i used it (by hand, no tools or leverage). And that's when I discovered that the actual 'limbs' that each key is on are made of a die-cast cheap metal alloy. I didn't even photo it as I was soooo pissed (I was 38 miles in the backwoods) and ended up using a simple drill bit in the chuck-hole - worked great. The chuck-key ? Threw it away. Waste of time and money.

Initially hard to use as it had some kind of coating on the teeth that made it hard to use .... one that got scraped away with use ... this fit 3 of the old fashion electric drills I had lost the chuck for ... will still be looking for one that fits the oldest..... I think at least 45 years old cause I remember when my dad got the old B&D drill for Christmas... that is going to take a while.

I ordered this for my bench top drill press. These are the only ones (sizes) that show up on Amazon, so for $5 I decided to give it a try. Shipping was quick and product was packaged as could be expected. It seems of good quality and appeared to be useful.Unfortunately, this tool is VERY small and didn't work for my drill press. I do think that adding standard chuck key measurements (pilot dimensions, gear diameter, etc) would be very helpful and clear up a lot of ordering confusion and returns/refunds.While I thought it was decent, due to it being small I didn't have a need for it and had to return it.

I would like to give this product five stars but in fact I just did however I have to buy it a second time because I am sure the first one I purchased buggered off home to go find its maker as I cannot find it.I seem to think however the reason I purchased this was because I lost my original chuck so maybe I have a problem in loosing things?

As with others, I bought it based on the picture, thinking it was steel. It is not. It's not even a little like pictured. I blame myself as I didn't read the reviews. Saw the pic & said "that's the one for me. Mine doesn't even have the numbers on it as one reviewer shows. I'm keeping it tho, as I need it for a second hand drill press I bought at auction. I will be looking for a better replacement in the future. C'mon amazon, police your sellers better.

I inherited a drill press but not the chuck key. I have tried numerous times to find one that would work. This combination set had one that works. So for a few bucks, now i don't have to buy a new chuck. Which would have been hard as there was already an ancient drill bit tightly chucked so I couldn't get it out.
