NOW Foods BetterStevia Liquid, Clear, 8 Fl Oz (P26582)

This was my first time trying this brand of stevia, and I was pleasantly surprised by how good it tastes. Unlike many other stevia products I've tried, it doesn't leave a strong or unpleasant aftertaste, making it a great sugar substitute for everyday use. One of the things I appreciate most is that it's pure stevia, without unnecessary fillers or additives that can reduce its potency. Because it's so concentrated, you only need a small amount to sweeten a cup of coffee or any other beverage without using sugar. I've also used it in oatmeal and even when baking carrot cake, and the results have been excellent. The 8-ounce container lasts a very long time since only a tiny amount is needed per serving, making it an excellent value for the price. Overall, I think this is a high-quality stevia that's perfect for anyone looking to reduce their sugar intake while still enjoying naturally sweet foods and drinks. I would definitely recommend it.

This is a great product. I have cut the amount of sugar in my sweet Southern Iced Tea by half. I used to put 1 and 1/3 cups sugar per gallon. Now, I use 2/3 cup sugar and 1/4 tsp of BetterStevia and it tastes great. No aftertaste. I make and can my own homemade ketchup, and I have replaced half the sugar in the recipe with BetterStevia. I love it! I know some people ae going full Monty, but for me, I choose to do a little mix of sugar and BetterStevia. Works for me. I may go all the way someday. Who knows.

Better Stevia is the best stevia I've ever used... and I've used a lot! There are many different types of stevia. The problem is that some of them taste bad. Therefore, getting the right kind of stevia is absolutely essential. This one has absolutely no aftertaste! My mom couldn't believe it when she tasted it. She converted immediately. I really like the Better Stevia the Original (orange label) and Glycerite (blue label) formulas. Unfortunately, I'm allergic to the alcohol in the original formula and my husband is allergic to the glycerite base. So, my husband using this product and I use the glycerite product. The glycerite base is a bit thicker than the original formula. I like to put Better Stevia in a tiny 1 oz dropper bottle to carry in my purse, mostly fill a 4 oz bottle to keep on my desk at work, and the rest in a 4 oz dropper bottle that I keep on my dining table. My favorite ways to use Better Stevia are: - Coffee - Tea - Emergen-C (a vitamin drink I have daily) - Plain Greek Yogurt - Flavored Sparkling Water with no sweetener (Tastes like soda without the guilt!) ZERO CALORIES and no aspartame! Here are some of the reasons I love stevia as a sweetener: - Weight management: Stevia rebaudiana contains little to no sugars, calories or carbohydrates. - Cravings: The sweet taste lasts longer than sugar’s. - Diabetes and Hypoglycemia: stevia does not create an insulin response and actually nourishes the pancreas which helps regulate blood sugar - Cariovascular: stevia lowers blood pressure - Fights Cavities: Stevia is antibacterial and it’s sugar-like compounds do not feed oral bacteria. - Blood Sugar: Stevioside can improve function of the hormone insulin, helping to lower blood sugar levels. - Cholesterol: The active compounds in stevia have led to numerous health benefits in animal studies, including reduced oxidized LDL cholesterol. - No Adverse Effects: Overall, stevia has an outstanding safety profile and no adverse effects have been reported in the human studies. I have been using this for over 5 years. Love it! Taste just like sugar even better. Note- be careful buying any Stevia in a store regardless what it says on the package. They add other ingredients not good for you. Example - I purchased a box of stevia packets in a store. The front of the box in big letters said, "Pure Stevia". Cost $12 dollars. I take it home but then got to reading the ingredients. It had maltodextrin in it & some other stuff. Maltodextrin will shoot your glucose sky high (bad). I threw it in the trash. Very important to read the ingredients. This stevia is pure with no other ingredients! I am diabetic & use it in my coffee. Just a few drops. Very convenient. This bottle last me a number of weeks, or over a month. Can be used to make some homemade ice cream or eggnog with no sugar, or anything else. Priceless! Highly recommend.

Don't let my 4/5 fool you, I LOVE this product and will get more when the time comes. Five drops makes tea or seltzer plenty sweet, and at this size, I expect the bottle to last a good while (the smaller size lasted me about 6-8 months of daily use). Only two complaints. First, liquid stevia sticks to the plastic cap super easily, so lots of drops end up congealing to the top and sides of the cap instead of getting in your drink. Tip: if you're sweetening tea or coffee, when you have build up, occasionally remove the cap and dip and swirl it in the tea for a few seconds (as long as it's hot but not too hot to drink). It'll remove some of the build up while sweetening your drink. Second, at least in my case, neglecting buildup removal for too long will shrink the dropper hole enough that when you close the flip top, the little plastic stopper that clicks into the dropper hole will eventually stick to the buildup. If and when it sticks hard enough, the stopper will tear off the flip top and stay lodged in the dropper hole. You'll then have to shove it out from the bottom of the dropper hole with something super skinny, the flip top won't seal tight anymore (I have to keep a small stack of quarters on top of it now; stevia dries out easily, so I don't take a chance). My little repair mentioned to enlarge the dropper hole a tiny bit, I think, because now I can't turn it over and squeeze drops. It comes out as a stream (and holy goodness was THAT one sweet cuppa). I have to keep it more like 90 degrees and let it dribble down the side, which increases the build up, of course, but I manage.

Liquid stevia isn't everyone's cup of tea. It does have an aftertaste and is kind of an acquired taste, so my 5 star review is taking into consideration that you already know and like the product. If you're trying it for the first time, know that you will have to get used to a slightly artificial taste. You get used to it by starting with a very small amount. While the bottle is very convenient to squirt out and I love that, it is easy to squirt too much and for new-to-stevia folks, might make your experience a bad one. This stuff does tend to last forever so if you hesitate at the price, know that my last bottle lasted over a year. Granted, I only use it for a few drops in coffee, but it was a great value for my money. It isn't a flavor substitute for sugar by any means but if you can get used to an artificial sweetener you can certainly get used to this flavor and I myself have grown to really like it. Is it better for you than other artificial sweeteners? I have no idea and obviously black coffee is probably the best, but I won't give up a little sweetener in my coffee. Not now, not ever, so I feel better having stevia than the pink or blue packets. So I will continue to buy this product knowing that it does last quite a long time and gives a good value for the money. I've adjusted to the taste and do enjoy it.

I very much love this sweetner. It doesn't leave an aftertaste, and I can put it in my ginger tea, my homemade hot chocolate, lemonade, cinnamon oatmeal, and everything else. The only drawback is that the lids of my first two bottles broke off from opening because the liquid spills a bit as I'm using the drops, and that gums up the lid, which then becomes hard to open. To solve this, I now pour into a dropper bottle and use the drops that way. This would be a perfect product if the dispenser were a little better, Maybe a push down (like shampoo), but with a neck closure so you can tamp it off? Anyway, it's still well worth it, and lasts a long time. I highly recommend the organic and original. I can't tell the difference.
