TealCo Full-Size & Weight, Tough Light-Up Football (LED-lighted - Better Than Glow in the Dark)

My son was very excited about getting a light up football for his birthday. Unfortunately it didn't work no matter how many times we pushed the button to turn it on. Tried the replacement light/battery pack and it didn't work either. It turns out it was a design flaw with the switch because when I removed the light from the ball to change it and pressed the on button directly on the light assembly it worked. The peg on the on switch assembly was too short to extend past the spring to activate the light assembly. I pulled an eraser off a new pencil and dropped it down into the spring, put the switch assembly back in the ball and VOILA, now it works. I don't know how long/well my alteration will hold up, but we played with it this evening, it lights up really well and we had fun and it turns on and off easily now. But I shouldn't have had to play engineer to get the thing to work. Also, they send a back of extra batteries along with the ball which seems nice, but there does not appear to be any way to actually replace the batteries if the die. The light/battery assembly is glued closed with wires running along the outside. There is no way to get batteries in and out without breaking the thing. Great concept. Very poorly executed.

Just got it yesterday to have a catch with my girls after dark. It's a full size football and kind of heavy. Rubber construction throughout. Definitely easy to see at night and it came with 3 or 4 refills of batteries. It's very easy to see at night as it lights up the whole ball very well. Seems pretty sturdy. The only concern I have is the cap that screws in to hold batteries in place seems a little flimsy but held in place just fine at least for the first time out last night. Very pleased so far. It has a push button switch to turn it on/off which I'm very glad about. Didn't want to have to slam it on the ground to activate it like many of the others seem to have to do. It arrived in 1 day even though it didn't show to have prime shipping.

This football is full size. My hands are large and i threw it poorly until I got used to it. It has a super grippy feel to it which is useful when you are playing in the dark or low light. If there is too much light it will become difficult to determine if the ball is lit.But then you do not need it illuminated at that time anyway. When it is dark out you can not miss this ball in the air.The ball comes deflated and so I had to go buy a pump for it. It had a rather plentiful strip of batteries that came with it so you will not run out any time soon. I used it for a while with my unit since we used to conduct sports on friday mornings rather than go for a run. There is a small plastic insert that holds 3 batteries at a time when you remove the keeper screw. Shake the ball vigorously to get he plastic insert to come out after removing the screw. Also noted that the screw never came out during play. The batteries lasted over 3 sessions of an hour long each week without needing to be changed. I gave the ball away after 4th Infantry Division mandated there will be no more sports PT during PRT hours. Now somebody else is enjoying it.

Bought as a christmas gift for 10 yrs ,which I decided not to give to him due to the fact ,that the switch to turn light on wasnt working properly ,had to click multiple time to turn on or off

This ball is really cool! I love all the extra batteries and light. I bought it to use at the beach and camping. It is not water proof but when camping we love to throw around the ball at night too. This ball lights up enough to see it at night! Decent size close to normal football. Love the on off button on the ball too and doesn’t affect the grip.

I'm really liking this product. It's one of the brighter, higher quality illuminated footballs I've seen.* Feels, throws, and smells like a normal football - not 'heavy' like some have said. It's the normal football weight.* Light is a bright glowing orange and looks great in the air. Button is recessed a little so your hand doesn't hit it. No problems turning it on & off.* Tough as any composite ball. It's been punted, gotten wet, even been gnawed on by the dog, and it's still shining bright and holding air!Prompt shipping. Also came with plenty of extra batteries!

I rarely write reviews but I had to write one for the TealCo Light-Up Football. My high school son likes to play football & basketball with his friends late into the night. He asked if he could have a light up football to help see at night. After searching Amazon, most footballs looked like little kid toys until I came across this football. The best example I can give you how this looks is the picture supplied by the manufacturer of two boys each holding a night. This is brighter than I expected after giving it a try last night. It's a rubber football but you can definitely get a grip on the ball. It totally lived up to expectations & I highly recommend this ball!

We saw a kid with one of these at the park last summer and I finally bought one for my 10 year old. Everyone who's seen us use it asks us where we got it. My kid has pretty big hands and is used to full sized footballs but I imagine it would be to big and heavy for 10 year olds who are used to youth size footballs. Came with a bunch of extra batteries too which is a big plus!
