Fluke 88V Deluxe Automotive Multimeter, Troubleshoot Problems on Conventional and Hybrid Vehicles, Measures Pulse Width, and Duty Cycle

This is my second one. Ran over the first one. Love this meter. Fluke is the best in its class!

This meter is the ultimate meter to have in the automotive industry period.

My first professional grade multimeter moved up from the fluke 101. So far seems worth what i payed. Love the lantern tips it comes with to attach back probes. Doing automotive diag and in the dealership scene its been helpful having the back lit display and the kick stand. Buy the magnet hanger also its helpful when under the hood or under the car. Only bad thing ive found so far is that the test leads sometimes get stuck when you unsheath them, the twist lock takes some force to get them to go back to the sheath position. My leads have 0.1 ohms of resistance wouldve been nice to have 0. But nothing deal breaking.

The Fluke 88 is the Best Automotive Multimeter in existence, I got my first on in 1994 , second on in 2007, This Meter never lets me down and I use all functions of this meter and use it Daily. Amazon is the place to get a Fluke 88 at the best price. 87V also great but is your using it for care the added 88 feature such as RPM , Ms for Pluse Width and the DC volt Default make the 88 more intuitive for the Automotive Technician

I bought this meter while going to Diesel mechanic school 5 years ago. While I was in the Air Force as a aircraft mechanic Fluke is all I ever used. I use it in the field daily now and there is no other meter I trust. I have since purchased a lead kit, RPM attachment and AC/DC Amp clamp. This is the best automotive meter that I have ever used and my go to meter even for parasitic draws. Excellent all around for chasing gremlins and electrons on DC circuits. Do yourself a favor and watch the price for when it goes on sale. I was able to get for 50% current price. Good Luck!

I purchased my first Fluke 88 back in the summer of 1990 that's almost 30 years ago and it still works. The only thing wrong with it is the display is getting hard to read very dim. I called Fluke to ask about repairs but the meter is so old they don't service it anymore. So I purchased this new and upgraded Fluke 88-5. I don't have much time on this new meter yet but so far so good. All I can say for anyone reading this review is don't be afraid to purchase a Fluke meter they are professional grade meter's. I've used Fluke testing equipment for years. Never has any of their equipment let me down. This product is no exception. Tough, durable, accurate, fantastic customer support, made in the USA, and hold their value. Unfortunately they can get a tad pricy compared to lesser meters and are more of a professional daily use tool. But for the most part, the value is there.

Love this Fluke 88V 1000V Automotive Multimeter. Was frustrating getting it to my doorstep. Ordered it Jan 6 2021 and even with amazon prime I didn't get it until Jan 27 2021.

Very good quality.

Works as it should. If you don't need the rpm feature for automotive order the 87V. Almost the exact same meter.

This is my second unit. First on lasted approx 25 year in an auto repair facility . Not an easy life for any test meter.
