Icon Aftermarket A/C Shroud - fits Dometic Brisk Air Duo Therm - White

Fit our 1999-era Duo-Therm overhead unit like a glove. Screw holes mostly aligned with existing lower shroud/pan piece, 8/10. I just needed a screwdriver for the job. Two front screw holes were not present on the shroud, and I chose to skip because the fit was tight enough and all 8 side screws went in snugly, but you could easily make those holes with a small drill bit. The new shroud is a gleaming white. The plastic feels maybe a little flimsy to me, but it seems strong enough for the task of replacing the original shroud (which was in rough shape). For the price, I’m pretty happy with the quality and easy replacement.

This aftermarket A/C shroud fits the new style Dometic Duo Therm A/C units. Replacing the shroud is as simple as removing the 14 Phillips screws, pulling the old shroud off, setting the new one on, and replacing the screws....almost. There are a couple of things to note here. First, the replacement shroud only uses 12 of the 14 screws. It doesn't have the two rear holes. Second, I strongly suggest that you start all of the screws before tightening any, as the holes don't necessarily line up perfectly, and this will aid in ease of installation. Once they're all started, snug them down and you're done. Take care not to overtighten or you will crack the plastic. Takes under 5 minutes to R&R the shroud. This shroud looks very close to the original, and functions exactly the same. To be honest, it's a bit pricey for what it is. I understand that this is not a high volume seller, but I'd be surprised if there is $10 worth of material and labor involved in making it. Perhaps there's a licensing issue I'm not aware of that runs the cost up. In any event, once these things start to crack, you're left with little alternative but to replace them. And you don't want rain getting in the internals of your A/C unit, so I wouldn't procrastinate when they need replacing. This piece will certainly get the job done. Time will tell how well it holds up here in the brutal SW desert sun, but I got 13 years out of the original. If I get 10 out of this one, I will consider it a win.

Excellent product, awesome quality. Someone left a review saying that it fit their exact model as mine so I’m doing the same to make it searchable Fit Dometic mod 57915.331 like a glove! From the bottom, had to lift it up, just a fuzz and all the holes lined up perfectly!
