My Brazilian husband has been in the US for 4 years and has had the chance to enjoy farofa maybe 1 or 2 times since moving here. I was beyond excited to find this on Amazon at such a fantastic price, and now we can both enjoy it whenever we please. This is such a unique concept to me as an American, adding seasoned cassava flour to top meals, but I definitely can't go back after I've had this seasoned goodness.

After spending two years in Brazil, I can't live without this delicious farofa when I make Brazilian beans and rice. It's also good sprinkled onto cooked meat. It gives everything a nice texture, thickens Brazilian beans to a pleasing texture, and lends food a nice bacony flavor. A bag of farofa lasts me about 4 or 5 months with how often we eat Brazilian food in my household, and it keeps well.

Omg, it was just like going back to Brazil. I was looking for this for years. A friend said she used to drive almost 2 hours to go to a town that had this in the international market. Accidentally I ran across this farofa though a Amazon recommendation according to my search items. Thank you Amazon!!! I'm Brazilian and farofa this awesome. Actually I wasn't expecting to be seasoned, I guess I was so excited that missed that fact. Actually it was good because my spouse is vegetarian and farofa is good with some sort of meat. The flavor actually was as if it was made from meat. To include my American vegetarian spouse I made farofa with eggs. She didn't like very much and named "eggs in the sand", lol. It's NOT sand, lol. I'll buy it again and again and reccomand for all the Brazilians missing home comfort food.
