Mars Lumograph Drawing Pencils: Set of 24 in Metal Case - Presharpened Graphite Art Pencils - Hardness Grades 12B-10H - For Drawing, Shading, Drafting & Illustrating - All Skill Levels

I tried to include all the important bits in the video, but so far, so good. I received these today as I've recently started drawing again. I found a review from another website giving their opinion on these specific pencils and I thought I'd give them a go. The reason I bought these specifically was for the shade range it offers with dark gradient lead. I want to gove my drawings more definition than the HB, 2B, and 4B I've been using. I haven't drawn anything with these yet except for what you see in the video, but I will try to update the review once I do. For the pencils themselves: The container I like, although the metal feels as if it could scuff or bend easily, still feels a decent weight. The pencils are smooth and are not too uncomfortable to hold. They seem to sharpen fairly easily. None of them broke any lead off into the sharpener. I think that you have quite a bit of options with this range even from only using a single one because you can press to go lighter or darker. I think that I'll be happy with the darker ranges to give definition to my drawings, but we will see. I think the price point is reflecting of the product. These pencils seem strongly made. Durable. I think it would be good for beginners or seasoned artists to have. I don't like how a kneaded eraser doesn't pick up much of it so it kind of makes me weary, but we will see how to hold up on sketchbook paper and not the lightweight printer paper I used in the video. I haven't tried any other types of erasers, so it may be different. Overall, so far, I'm happy with them.

Currently working on a digital design degree, so I have to do a lot of drawing. This set is pretty great. I use a Staedter two point drum sharpener. These pencils are easy to sharpen, points usually don’t break, and work great for art and writing. Having a full set is just nice.

What an incredible tool set!!! I bought these for my son when he was learning to draw. He ended up switching to other hobbies as most kids do, so I didn’t want to waste the beautiful art supplies. It led me to start to look into learning to draw myself. It’s been over a year now, and I’m now sketching portraits. (Can’t believe im hearing myself say that out loud and knowing it’s true about me!) I’m seeing now the purpose of each pencil and love having a kit that brings to life what you’re trying to draw. The pencils have held up wonderfully! Sharpening doesn’t eat away at the available pencil left to work with. I definitely suggest this set for beginner or intermediate artist. Once I’m a pro, maybe I can come back and give my two cents from a professional perspective.

Best set of sketching/drawing pencils i own. Full range of hardness and shading. Works well with 3 darkest Matte pencils from Fabre-castell to serve every need you could possibly need. Much less expensive than “Blackwing” and feel the same to me.

Best for fussy artists who don't want to guess which one they're holding so they can draw. Graphite doesn't wear down too fast, nor break, and let's one be as expressive as they want.

I bought the set of 24 pencils, though I expect that 10 or even 8 would be sufficient. Trying them out, I did find that the darkness did vary as stated. One thing I like is the metal box. It has separate grooves that keep the pencils from rolling around and damaging the points. Also, the degree of hardness is written on all sides of each pencil, making it easier to find what I want. I would buy the set again or just replace the individual dark pencils I will be using the most. The marks are smooth and not scratchy from all the pencils.

Great selection of pencils. Love the variety and quality of these. Quality matters and these meet the mark. The different hardness and blackness give much more depth and complexity to drawing. They come in a nice metal case which is recyclable. The pencils sharpen easily with an electric or hand sharpener. Very good purchase
