Good quality and I love the style and shape it gives to my sandwich, it's non sticky and it fast to cook my sandwich, the heating can be very hot within few minutes so be careful....I will recommend this

Excellent quality and cooks toasties evenly. It fits the whole slice so no overhanging crusts. It cleans well and that stops the toasties sticking to it. It heats up quickly too. I definitely recommend this to others that love a good toastie!

Great item, easy to use, can even take bagels. There isn't an on/ off switch so you have to turn it on or off at the socket. It gets rather hot when in use, so be careful not to touch the metal top and I put it in a heat protective glass chopping board. There isn't a steam vent, so when you open it up after it's cooked, or to check if it's cooked because there is no way to tell if it's cooked without opening the lid, be sure not to lean over it because the steam comes out in a billow. Simple, easy to use , I suggest letting it heat up for 2-3 minutes before using it. It has two lights on the top but like most sandwich toasters it's hard to see if both lights are on because the first " heating up light" shares the same space as the " hot enough" light so it looks like both are lit, but when both are it's only a tiny bit brighter. I cooked the bagels for 4 minutes, they came out golden brown. I butter the outside lightly, this helps give an even golden brown cour and makes them nice and crispy. They get crispier when out of the toaster so I recommend taking them out based on colour because it's hard to judge the crispness in the machine. Downsides: No on off switch. No timer or way to know when they are done without opening the lid. No steam vent. Under the plates is a cavity with the heating element. If anything gets down here it will be a nightmare to clean, I have only had this for today so I am going by older machines I've had with the same set up, so my advice is to use a damp sponge, no soap, to wipe away anything that gets into this cavity, I tried cleaning spray before on an older machine and for weeks my toasties tasted like detergent, so don't use any. I also need to mention how it was delivered. I ordered it with prime for next day delivery, and it did arrive next day but...there was no packaging. It was sent in the display box, just with a sticker slapped to the side and the box was pretty beaten up when it arrived , gouges and tears so you definitely can't give this as a gift. Good points: It's quick, from cold to ready to use was about 2-3 minutes, just long enough to prepare the bagel/ sandwiches. It can take a thick sandwich or bagel ( my bagel has ham and asparagus as a filling). It's quick to cook, about 4 minutes, enough time to wash up the knife, tidy away the ham and bagels and asparagus trimmings and prepare a dipping sauce. The plates are easy to clean, you just have to wait until they cool down. I left mine open for about half an hour and they were cold. Simple soft sponge with water and a little washing up liquid. I don't recommend scrubbing them, the nonstick coating isn't very thick and likely to scrub off, if you use things like cheese, it should just brush off. The plates are position specific. The annoying thing is that you can clip the top plate to the bottom and vice versa but ..the top plate will fall out when you use it. If yours does that I would suggest swapping the plates around as you might have them in the wrong place. This was the same on my previous model, which was the braun all singing and dancing one with different plates for waffles and panini's which died a death ( two halves fell apart one day, wires hanging out) and I realised I had only used the other plates once or twice. I bought this in Oct 2025 for 19.99 GBP and that is reasonable I think. It does the job just as well as my much more expensive one plus, I forgot to mention this, it actually cuts the bagels in half, the old one just compressed the centre and I had to use scissors to actually cut the sarnies, this one actually seals and cuts ( which the previous one said it did, but didn't). They are left connected at 2 or 3 tiny points, so easy to lift, but just pulls apart This is great because if you have a liquid filling like cheese or beans or tikka masala, the sandwich is sealed all the way around into two perfect triangles. I used bagels by New York, cut and toasted perfectly but obviously it can't seal the outside. I used Hovis granary thick slices, and it sealed all the way around with baked beans filling. A little oozed, as it always has with other machines, but it's easy to peel that off and my friend actually likes those crispy baked bean juice bits . I do cook the beans before I use them to fill the bread, you don't have to do that, but we do it so we can get lots of butter in, and mush the beans so you end up, once cooled, with a thicker filling, easy to dollop on the bread, and it's all soft and runny when reheated in the toaster machine. I did my bagels first, then popped my friends beans ones in right after, and 4 minutes later theirs was ready, so quick, so easy, and a hot and filling lunch is done. That's all I can think of to say, hopefully some of this is useful if you are looking at sandwich toasters , this one does the job , and in my opinion does it better than the more expensive ones. I don't know how long it will last but it's Daewoo so expect the parts to be robust.

Order arrived quickly, it's extremely easy to use and looks pretty slick with the silver and black matches the kitchen! Plates seem to be non stick which is ideal and they are easy to clean.
