This is a great book, I recieved the book very quickly, and it was very informative. The book really explains allot.

This book did not provide much practical info for someone looking for very practical guidance. BUT is did offer a lot of examples of the many kinds of ponds that can be built for swimming. It provided good photos of the wide range of garden settings for such ponds.

Get one thing out of the way first - this book does not tell you how to build a natural swimming pool. (A natural swimming pool is cleaned by the carefully balanced selection of plants growing in it. No chemicals are used.) It is a book of photographs and descriptions of a large selection of natural swimming pools. Looking through it, you get to see a lot of gardens stunningly photographed, which is entertaining for the armchair or physical gardener, and it will help you to decide if it would be practical to fit a natural swimming pool into your garden and what it could look like. If you then decide to build one then it is time to buy another book.
