Safety valve cap with interlock to prevent opening under pressure. Steam pressure gauge and gauge glass to check water level. A: For the description this just means that the iron shoe that can attach to the bottom of the iron is not included with this unit. The total watts for this unit is 830 but it is not the heat output

**Q: it this item use with 220V?**
A: Hubert,Thank you for your email. It is a 120 volts 60hz 15 amps. Plugs into a standard household outlet.Sincerely,Gerrie

**Q: Can we add water while using it? or do we have to wait until the temp goes down?**
A: No, you don't have to wait until temp. goes down. That would be too long. All you have to do is turn the boiler off, but keep the iron on and keep pressing the switch to let steam out( de-pressurize the system). When the gauge is down to about 15 psi, you now can slowly unscrew the filler cap. Some steam still come out, but safe enough to to. You can now add more water and turn the boiler back on. Turn the iron off to let the boiler catch up.
