Kudos to Nicole Snow for an outstanding story with more than a twist!! Bella, as her grandfather nicknamed her, is back home on his ranch but the only thing that's the same is Edison her bestie but aging horse. With her gramps passing she has inherited the ranch, oil company and the whole shebang including a husband she knows nothing about. Drake has secrets and demons in his past and he lives with regret on a daily basis. His saving grace comes in the form of a lively old man and brother at arms, Gramps, and together they'll turn Bella's life topsy turvy. The chemistry is hot enough to singe the hay but with people set on taking everything away, including her parents, guards against the heart are in place. Secrets and guilt come out that shock you and break your heart making them a stronger force together. Can these two unlikely married souls come out as winners or will the threats tear them apart before they get a chance at happiness??? You will fall in love with Bella and Drake along with the very special and personable Edison who would literally follow Bella to the ends of the earth to protect her even risking his own life. You will love this fast paced story filled with romance, suspense, conniving, manipulation, and strong willed leading characters that won't be able to stop at just one taste of ultimate bliss. With Nicole Snow you know what you're going to get you just don't know how and that's what makes her stories unforgettable. A wonderful read! I have read the Dallas Series by Ms. Snow, and then began the Marriage Mistake Series. It was terrific to read Bella’s and Drake’s story. Her beautiful horse Edison is the best four legged hero! The book begins with Bella’s Grandpa Reed’s death, and quickly Ms. Snow details Bella’s life up to this time. Rich parents, her Dad’s poor relationship with his father. Her Mom’s a nightmare, and Bella feels she was never loved or wanted by them, spending every Summer and extended holidays at her Grandfather’s ranch. Her grandfather was rancher, and oil man. He owned a large, successful oil company, he was generous benefactor for the town of Dallas. His wife died when Bella’s Dad was in high school. When her Dad left the ranch for College with her Mom, he never was able to reconcile with Grandpa Reed. Drake, was Grandpa Reed’s “helper”. That’s how he was described, an old army buddy. Lived at the ranch for 4 years. In her mind she thought of an older gentleman, not the hunk of ex-Army sniper, with a very sad past. Grandpa Reed left everything to Bella, the ranch, the oil company! Her mother Molly was aghast and angry beyond words. Her Dad silent as usual. The lawyer warned Bella that her Grandfather had concerns, and there was stipulation that she had to stay at the ranch and not sell anything for 6 months. She left the office, got into an argument with her parents. She drove to the ranch and saw her Edison. Later, she met Drake, and he tried to explain how he was there to help her and carry out the will. Then their story begins, she finds out her Grandfather arranged a proxy marriage to Drake. There are wills, that state if she dies, then everything is left to her husband. Drake’s story is sad and filled with regrets. He has lost family and feels responsible. Bella feels she never knew her parents or grandfather. Enjoy the suspense, figure out who is truly the villains. As with all of Nicole’s novels there is a lot of hot sex, some that I skim over because the story is that good. I gave it 4 stars because I am tired of the “virgin” backstory for the heroine. Are these ex-military men, who are so experienced really need to mark their women? Especially virgins who seem so experienced? If the story is as wonderful as this one was did it need that detail? Not for me! Thank you for Edison’s back story too. An amazing horse! Enjoy!

Annabelle gets a lot more than she bargained for when her inheritance includes a husband. Yes, it’s crazy but she trusts her grandfather implicitly so there must be a good reason for this, even if she can’t possibly imagine any scenario that would explain it. Drake is hot and protective and everything I wanted. Their story is steamy and suspenseful and it made my heart happy.

Drake's mistake, hiding everything from Bella about the will and proxy marriage. Bella's mistake believing that everyone was telling her the truth, being to trusting. Finding out the truth almost gets her and her parents killed. The hero Edison the horse who saves her life and is the best friend she has ever had! Wonderful story with strong language and hot sex scenes!! Nicole Snow at her best!!!!

Loved Edison the horse. A fav character in this story. Molly, the supposed mother of our main character, is just awful. Treats Bella terribly and is abusive as well. Gary, her dad, barely redeems himself at the end. Drake, the heavenly love interest, has a lot going on but isn't fleshed out fully. Would have liked more action between him and Bella. The story was not easy to follow and there are pieces that don't knit together for coherence. Not bad but not one I'd tell my sis to read.

A true page turner, Accidental Knight by Nicole Snow is a very well written and exceptionally engaging book that captivated my heart from the get-go. These characters are truly special and Edison completely stole my heart! You will understand when you devour this book. I couldn’t, didn’t want to put this one down and was totally annoyed when I had to! This reader was enthralled and fully engaged in Bella and Drake’s story because they are absolutely wonderful characters. These two have heat and heart that the author built slowly, allowing their chemistry to build tension in a raw and explosive yet sweet way. The plot of this book is also enthralling and exciting leading to an explosive and heroic resolution with more of that awesome heart this author is so good at writing. Overall, a really wonderful book well worth 5+ stars with all the feels of a great romance. I really, really loved and adored the extended epilogue, a true HEA. A great storyline. I read this story of Drake and Belle a few years back and didn’t realise I had it in my Kindle library. I have enjoyed reading it again. Its full of drama and romance. I love the horse Edison. Drake and Belle feature in other books all based in Dallas, the Knights of Dallas series and its reading them plus The Hero I need that I wanted to read this book again. Well worth the read.

OMG...what an incredible story, well written, captivating, page turning and an amazing plot. The recommendation I would give for this story is to read it and cancel everything until the last word of the story. The characters are well developed and you will be cheering, jeering the baddies, and loving Edison the horse. Anabelle inherits the family business much to her parents exasperation and they will do anything to have her sell it. However her grandpa had thought of every contingency .... Including a husband. Drake is former army, haunted by what ifs. He is Anabelles security adviser, general handyman and ...... unexpected, unaware of, proxy husband. The book has an extended HEA. Highly recommended.

I really and truly enjoyed this book. I borrowed it from KU and had trouble putting it down. I am a stickler for grammar and spelling and I have to say I was pleased with how well written this book was. I would definitely recommend this book. It has a story line and steamy scenes. 😍Edison😍

This was a quick, easy and enjoyable read. The story had suspense, deception, mystery and a whole lot of hotness. Drake Larkin is full of secrets, hiding a past that also affects, not only his life, but that of Bella Reed also. Bella is grieving for her beloved Grandpa and finds herself embroiled in a life she never could have imagined. Throughout the story, little bits were unlocked gradually, which kept me wanting to continue turning the pages. Just as some questions were answered, more came to the fore. The only thing that irritated me was the ending. It felt rushed, just to make sure it all wrapped up with a tidy bow.
