Behind the scenes at Top Gear
Quick read giving details of how some of Top Gear episodes were produced. Fun to read. Might have enjoyed a more in depth description but book is an enjoyable and humorous Lots of work involved completing those adventures

Fun, if a little frothy
There are lots of fun little details in this book - behind the scene glimpses and how'd they do that moments that fans of the series will get a kick out of. It's filled with pictures and the typical Top Gear humor we know and love. The only real downside to the book is that it's kind of short (127 pages, and the book is about half-size.).

Great Little Book
Of the many new Top Gear books (and I'm pretty sure I own all twenty-something of them now), this is one of my all-time favorites. Unlike the Annuals, there's a lot less graphics and a lot more text. In true Top Gear fashion, however, it's still balanced with loads of pictures to keep everything interesting. Gives behind-the-scenes information with screenshots from the show. I just wish it were longer.

A bit of disappointment
The book is much smaller than I expected, it was impulsive buy I must admit. There is nothing really relevatory in the book, articles are short and many of them are just describing the film. For half the price it would be ok. For given price plus the same ammount as postage I'm a bit sorry that I did it.

it's fine. But otherwise
If you buy it used for $4, it's fine. But otherwise, it's disappointing and lacking any kind of depth. There's about 120 pages with about 70 words per page. Was hoping for more insight into the shenanigans of Top Gear.

A hard digital read...
Great book and highly recommended in its hard or paperback form, but the format of the book makes it physically very difficult to read in its digital format...

Not Rubbish
My 5 year old is a Top Gear fanatic, and loves this book.He has me read 2 or 3 "stories" from it every night at bedtime. We've read them over and over- he never gets tired of it.I like it too... I love learning the little behind the scenes bits.

Not What Was Expected
I thought that this would be an interesting, deep behind the scenes, series of stories about the Top Gear TV show adventures. It's not. If you've watched the show, that's 90% of everything in the book. If you've seen any interviews with the presenters, that's the other 10%.Nothing new, original, or innovative. Also, the Kindle version is only landscape and does not allow for resizing of text. It's very difficult to read.

Good read, great coffee table book!
Funny, witty background on the popular TV show. Not a long read, but very enjoyable. Great for fans of the series but also interesting for those who haven't watched Top Gear.

A bit lacking
Not bad little book by any means, but it contains very few "secrets", and mostly consists of descriptions of a handful of memorable episodes, peppered with a few shots that didn't appear on TV, and a few little bits about the show behind the scenes.. but very little of what I thought might be contained within - that is to say.. 'making of' those episodes. I have seen all the episodes, and remember them well, so I just hoped for a bit more than a warmed over re-telling of them. A bit of a shame, but still for the Top Gear fan, a solid, if very short, book, that is definitely readable and will bring back memories of some of those classic moments.

a little dissapointing
this book is written catering to those who buy in to the mythos of top gear. there is no background information as to how the stunts were set up, we are left with the impression that the presenters bumble along with no preparation and less clues as to what they are doing.Good if you want more edutainmentNot so good for the preparation and behind the scenes stuff

Don't bother with the Kindle version
Unless you are using a tablet this book is useless on a normal Kindle. It insists on you viewing it in landscape mode not as normal, and it looks like someone has just uploaded a PDF to Amazon, very poor quality indeed.

value for money
As an avid top gear watcher (and the repeats),i have all the booksbut this one sadly lacks detail,-every subject is briefly covered with what i basically could guess myself.woul not reccomend.
