Used for masking areas on models such as Hexa Gear, Zoids, Gundam, etc.. Adheres well and doesn't pull paint when peeling it off. Easy to cut and apply as well.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Some of the best masking for hobbying. Easy to cut, shape, and mask your model, whether you're painting or covering with Its also thick enough to cut with a straight edge to almost double your masking.

I have found that the Tamiya masking tape is the best available when building scale models whether doing a Camo job on Armor, paint transition on Aircraft or in my case, two tone paint jobs and chrome detail on model cars. It is extremely thin and strong and is "Low Tack" so as not to pull off properly applied paint when remove. It Burnishes well and keeps paint from seeping under and one of the best features, it is easily Trimable for cutting in fine detail or making your own graphics. I used this tape for the chrome trim around the windows and for the side trim on this car in the pics and I don't believe I could have gotten this fine of detail with any other tape (I've tried many). Pros are Low Tack, very thin, easily trimable, burnishes well and is easily removed without tearing. The only Con I can think of is that it is not Cheap so you don't want to waste it. If you are learning to build better models and want to get creative, this is the Tape you need, nothing else comes close in my opinion.

Perfect for painting gundam model kits. Tape is strong enough to stop acrylic paint from leaking through and transparent enough to see previously painted areas.

Estas cintas son excelentes para enmascarillar a la hora de pintar. Con el adhesivo justo para fijarse sobre la superficie, pero sin dañar el acabado ya aplicado. En un conveniente dispensador muy útil que mantiene limpias las orillas de la cinta y dos repuestos perfectamente sellados. Sigo esperando el juego de .6 mm para complementar los que ya tengo.
