Travel or not, this little dryer is FANTASTIC!
Travel or not, this little dryer is FANTASTIC! I originally purchased this product because I was going out of the country and needed a dual voltage dryer to use while overseas, but it has turned in to much more than a euro-trip dryer! I was tickled by the size of this when it arrived; it's adorably compact, and the mini concentrator nozzle is so cute! But don't let it's cute looks fool you, this dryer packs a punch! Not only is it super lightweight, but the low and high settings went far above my expectations in terms of power and heat! You can easily adjust the power, but you can not adjust the heat. I didn't find this to be an issue because it's not too hot, but not too cool either (in my opinion). This dryer leaves my hair soft, bouncy and frizz/fly-away free (thanks to the concentrator). I love this dryer so much that it is now a permanent staple in my gym bag (it takes up less room than my sneakers!). I HIGHLY recommend this dryer to ANYONE. You don't have to be traveling at all to get a ton of use out of this dryer. Plus, it's compact size is PERFECT if you have a child who wants to start drying/fixing his/her hair (or play beauty shop), but maybe can't manage a regular sized dryer yet. A couple of helpful tips to keep in mind: 1. if you use the dryer outside of the US (220V) you can turn the voltage-change-dial by using one of the plug prongs, but BE SURE to only operate the dryer on the LOW setting. The low setting on 220V provides the same/comparable power that the high setting would on 125V (which makes sense). if you are using this dryer in the US (125V) you can use both the low and high settings. 2. sometimes the concentrator nozzle feels a tiny bit loose, so keep that in mind if you're tossing it in your suitcase/bag because it might pop off it the bag is jostled around

Small But Shockingly Powerful — Perfect Travel Dryer
I recently picked up the Conair miniPRO Tourmaline Ceramic travel dryer, and it has instantly become a staple in my carry-on. It’s smaller and lighter than I expected, which is great for packing, but what really surprised me is how much power this little dryer delivers. Compared to the typical hotel hair dryers I’ve used, this one is noticeably stronger — it actually dries my hair efficiently instead of just blowing warm air around. The tourmaline ceramic technology helps smooth and reduce frizz, and it heats up quickly with solid airflow. I was also pleasantly surprised that it comes with a small diffuser attachment. It’s compact like the dryer itself, but still effective enough to add volume or keep curls defined while traveling. Most travel dryers skip the diffuser, so this is a nice bonus. One of the biggest reasons I purchased it was the dual-voltage capability, which makes it ideal for international trips and I don’t have to worry about frying the dryer or needing a bulky converter. If I had to point out a minor drawback, the compact size means the handle is shorter than a full-size dryer, so it takes a moment to adjust. But for travel, the portability and performance make it worth it. Picture included with a comparison to a full sized dryer. Overall, this is a powerful, lightweight, thoughtful travel dryer that far outperforms the typical hotel option — highly recommended for frequent travelers.

Good for travel.
I bought this for the small size and the dual voltage for use on a trip to Ireland. The size is nice and small for travel, and the dryer works well on high here in the U.S.; not as powerful as my regular dryer but quite enough power for its size. I'll update after my trip overseas. So far, very pleased. The red color is very nice. Update: Be sure to use it on the low setting when overseas and using a higher voltage. The low setting provides equal power to the high setting when you are overseas on 220 or 240 volts. If you accidentally use the high setting overseas, the dryer will over- heat and shut down immediately, leaving an acrid smell in the air. Luckily, when I accidentally used it on the high setting, although the dryer cut off almost immediately, after it cooled down, it worked perfectly on the low setting. In other words, the higher voltage did no permanent harm to the dryer. So f you are overseas, turn the dryer to 220 volts ( on a little button that you can change back and forth between voltages by using a coin in the button 's slot) and remember to only use the dryer on the low setting.

Great dryer, nice portability, but problem with the painted finish after a few years
I purchased this dryer 8 years ago for travel only. I used it occasionally and it has performed well. Strong air flow, very light and compact. Sadly, this year I went to pack it for a trip and noticed that the red painted finish had deteriorated and had become tacky and sticky. The dryer still works perfectly but the sticky finish is a deal-breaker tor me. Too bad things aren’t built to last. Next time I will look for a dryer with the hard plastic finish instead of the fancy painted finish.

Perfect for traveling
The miniPRO is exactly as described. Lightweight and small for traveling. But, with the power of a larger and heavier hair dryer.

Perfect little hairdryer
I got this because my extremely old hair dryer used too much power and was tripping my breaker when my vanity light was on. Now no issues. I have simple needs but it works for daily use and I like that it's small and folds if I want to travel with it.

The hairdryer is very light and compact. It is easy to hold because the switches to adjust the settings are located on a spot on the handle that is away from where your fingers would naturally grasp the hairdryer. It is nearly as powerful as my full-sized hairdryer, which is fine because it is intended primarily for travel. I love that it is dual voltage and that it folds in half.

I took this on holiday and it didn’t work which was really inconvenient as I had no other access to a hairdryer. I had surgery soon after I got back and have now missed the return window.

Love the small size and lightness of this dryer. Have only tested it once, but it seems to do the job well. I have other Conair appliances, and they have always been reliable.
