I had to update my review because this clock is extremely sensitive in regard to the batteries it uses. Don't use the cheap, off-brand batteries you find on discount or you'll have problems. I decided to give this clock one more chance using Rayovac High-Energy D-Cells and it works perfectly now. Even that noisy ticking and chatter disappeared and it's now keeping perfect timing.

Love love love!!!!! It is like 30 seconds behind time but it’s my absolute favorite and so pretty on my shelf. BUY!!!

Been using this clock for over a year now, so I can vouch for the following: 1. it doesn't keep perfect time (seems to lose 1-2 minutes every couple of months, but it's so dang easy to adjust the time that I don't mind this imperfection) 2. battery life seems to last about 7-8 months (my electrical-engineer dad says he could retrofit it to run on a USB cable, but the cordless option lets me move it around my living room whenever I switch out seasonal decor) 3. it does make an audible click every minute, but the human and canine members of my household quickly got used to it so the sound bothers no one 4. most importantly, EVERYONE who sees it raves about how cool it is! We bought it in homage to one of our favorite films, 'Groundhog Day,' and it still charms us as much as it did the day we started using it. One of my favorite home decor purchases of all time!

I absolutely love this desk clock. I love the all black sleek look and the stylish numbers that are super easy to read. It looks absolutely fantastic on my desk at work. I got ribbed for it by more than a few coworkers but I know they’re just jealous, as they asked me where I got it and how much I paid for it. Yes, this is a bit expensive but I think it’s totally worth it if you’re looking for something stylish and retro for your desk. The one thing I will say is it’s nearly impossible to set the time at first! I don’t know why but it’s so difficult. You’d think that as soon as you put the battery in the clock mechanism would start counting and flip the next number down in 60 seconds. This is NOT the case! As soon as I tired that method a few times I was so put off by when the number would flip down next so I timed it. There is no rhyme or reason to it! The first time I timed it the number would flip down at something like 72 seconds. I pulled the battery and tried again, the number flipped down at like 79 seconds. The next time something like 90 seconds! I tried and tried and tried but every time I did the result was the same: utter confusion! I even purchased the special battery that was recommended. There is no button or switch anywhere on the clock to start the time so I assume it has to be when the battery is input but it just doesn’t make any sense! I ended up having to just continue with this method for what felt like an hour! Something near 70-ish seconds prior to the top of the next minute I’d put the battery in and battery cover on and just hope that it would sync up. Finally I got it within a few seconds of accurate and I’ve left it ever since! Now that the time is (somewhat) synced within a few seconds it has stayed consistent with its “accuracy” as in, it doesn’t run slow or fast. Aside from this bit of a headache, I still find the clock to be a good buy as it was exactly what I wanted for my desk. Due to the headache of setting the correct time I’m going to rate the clock at 4 stars instead of 5. I hope this review was helpful to you in some way.

I've had it for 8 months so far, it is in the same room as a wall clock that sets itself by atomic clock signal. Still on original D battery, haven't adjusted ANYTHING, and clock has always been and is still within 10 seconds of the atomic clock. This absolutely blows my mind. UPDATE a single D-battery lasted 1 year, 3.5 months.

Be forewarned. I really liked this clock when it arrived. It looked great and felt well crafted. It keeps good time and I haven't needed to change the battery since I purchased it. However... and this is a big however... one morning when I walked into my living room, I saw one of the number halves lying on the shelf underneath it. The mounting tip had broken off and I couldn't mount it back into the mechanism. I contacted the company (mooas), but they never responded. I managed to fabricate and glue a replacement onto the pad. It worked well, but a few months later another number half had broken off. This time it was the inside tab. I will probably fabricate a fix for it too, but now I am wary about other halves breaking off. Those little tabs are only millimeters thick and a centimeter long. They are quite fragile. Think about this before purchasing. Trust me, you won't get any help from the manufacturer. UPDATE: I ended up throwing this clock away. It kept losing its numbers like dried leaves in autumn. Considering how much this clock costs, I didn't feel right with the three stars I initially gave this review, so I lowered it to one star. I can't see any reason to continue salvaging this clock when the numbers fall off for no reason.

The clock arrived pretty quick, considering the shipping was from US. the product is exactly like the picture. Works well for now. Hope it lasts long.

I am using it on my office table. Like in description, it is silent but not extremely silent. It's loud enough to turn heads and silent enough to not disturb you. So far I found it to be accurate and I love it.
