But Did You Die?: Setting the Parenting Bar Low (I Just Want to Pee Alone)

After seven months of reading non-fiction books and novels which were not funny at all, I seriously needed cheering up. And so i picked up this book.The introduction and the first two essays got me laughing so hard it literally hurt my belly (probably partially because I was reading it at night and did not want to wake up my precious 4 year old twins, and so was trying to control the LOL outbursts as much as possible, which resulted in some serious cramping :)).Maybe because the start of this book was so good, it made me set the same expectations for the rest of the stories. Unfortunately they fell short.The closer I was to the end of the book, the more I wanted it to end.I may re-read the funny parts from time to time, but will not look back on the whole lot for sure.

It was so not funny. Boring waste of my time and money. Who is it that thinks any of these stories were worth repeating? I've read better stories in the children s magazine Highlights which features the worst most boring stories ever written. I feel ripped off. P.S. If you want people to write good reviews try using actually funny material instead of boring feces.

That seems to be the theme for 2019, but did you die though? The mom's in this book are great writers, some humerus, some just matter-of-fact but all relatable to somebody somewhere.

This book also made me feel better about my own parenting foibles. Great read for any mom. Young or old.

Very funny book. Lots of relatable parental stories. It’s nice to know you’re not alone in this thing called parenthood.

It is so wonderful to read stories about other people’s crazy lives and remember it’s not just us! A great read for parents.

Entertaining short stories, gets the laughter going for sure! It's great to pick up when you just have a few minutes to read something as each chapter is complete in itself.
