Saucony Men's Ride 6 Running Shoe

These shoes do run about half a size small, they will feel tight, as if your socks are too thick but that works for me to keep my foot better supported, and it's not unbearable. I have back, knee, and a ankle issues probably related to my severe underpronation on right foot. I have tried many shoe brands from Nike Pegasus, Asics Gel Cumulus, to Brooks something and while they are all soft on the heel, they lack support on the edges when my foot strikes the ground. These seem to be stiff enough on the edges to keep my foot in place without moving out and placing too much weight/pressure on the outside while being soft enough on the heel to absorb the impact. I was finally able to go running three times in one month and each for at least 30 minutes. And that then lead to a different problem: these shoes were too comfortable while running so that I then had shinsplintz or something like that and was barely able to walk for three weeks, but I think this is just my own overdoing the running given how out of shape I am and how I overdid the workout. If you have underpronation issues I highly recommend these shoes but just ease back in to running if you are out of shape. Enjoy! I am ordering a second pair, however, all that being said.

An excellent product considering the price. I was debating between getting this or the current Ride 7. I tried on both and felt that the Ride 7 was more comfortable with a roomier and wider toe box. However, with the cheap price amazon was offering for this pair of shoes, I could not justify the price difference for this pair. I received this pair yesterday and all I have to say is that these fit great. The toe box is a little on the narrow side (I have normal feet) but it feels nice and light to run with. The cushioning on these is great as well, but I have to say the Ride 7's feel much more cushioned and thus more awesome. Would I recommend this? Absolutely!

I'm 6 feet tall and 175 pounds. I have a medium-high arch. I heel strike and I underpronate very, very slightly. I'm slow, but I don't mind doing a few extra miles. I'm basically a somewhat heavy neutral runner. I don't need motion control. I like cushion, but not a lot of extra weight. I like regular running shoes rather than minimal shoes. Overall, a neutral cushion shoe works best for me. I've worn Adidas Supernova Glides since running some 15k races back in 2005 and 2006. But they were difficult to find at a decent price lately, so I went looking for an equivalent shoe from another brand. I tried Asics Cumulus, but the toe box wasn't the right shape for my feet. These felt good, as did the Brooks Ghost. These were available from Amazon at a lower price with free shipping, so I got them. After about six weeks of use, I can say that they are very comfortable and work well for me. The cushioning is good but they're not too heavy. A few negatives. The heel could be little more snug for my foot. The forefoot is a little stiff and could be more flexible. The outer tread seems to be wearing a little faster than I would like. The rubber compound may be a little soft, so they may not last quite as long as I would like. But I got them at a ridiculously low price, so these are only minor complaints.

Great shoe that continues to evolve - and I cannot say for the better. I definitely liked the Ride 4 & Ride 5 better even though this Ride is much lighter in weight. The fit just seems different and i've had to add inserts that I didn't used to have to. Overall the construction on these are top notch. They usually last at least 300+ miles and most often upwards of 4-500 miles. They have done a great job at reducing the weight on these as well and for the price it is one of the smoothest rides out there. (Pun intended.) As for the use of inserts - I never used to have to have them. I believe - don't know for sure - that the insoles have been reduced/flattened from previous editions. I recall they used to have pretty good insoles and definitely higher arches than what they have now. These are still my go-to distance shoe, and i've got a marathon coming up shortly. But now i've mixed in a few other brands/models for speed/hill work and also adding them to my distances runs.

This shoe feels really good. My typical running season includes 2-4 half marathons, 3-4 10k's, and 1-2 5k's. I run anywhere from 10-25 miles weekly, outdoors unless temperatures force me inside to the treadmill. I am a female, and I have been able to run in men's AND women's Saucony Ride shoes without any issues for the past 10 years. This particular model, the Ride 6, is discontinued so I just stocked up-- newer models are great, if not better, but they are also more expensive at first. FYI: I recommend always getting a fit test before randomly buying a new brand of tennis shoe for the first time. 10 years ago I was tested and Saucony was a good fit for me. I have observed consistent improvements to the Ride line over the years. I will continue to buy Saucony Ride for as long as they make them.

I have been running in a variety of Saucony brand shoes for a couple of years. Started with the Hurricanes which I gave up as they have too much mortion control. Then went to the Virrata and Cortana which I really like having run Both half and full marathons in each. Training for another marathon I wanted a shoe with a slightly higher offset (Ride has 8mm whereas Virrata has 0MM and Cortana has 4mm). So far I've run a couple of times in the Ride including a 14 mile run and I really like the shoe. I find the shoe fits as expected and has a nice firm ride. I am a larger runner (6'3" and 188) and the shoe works well for my size. I have a friend who is smaller in stature and he did not like the Ride as he found it too firm/stiff. Might be a better shoe for bigger runners. So far so good.

I have been wearing Asics Gel Nimbus for the past 4 years running and the series have been great. I had been looking for different shoe, for no real reason other than to have something different. I tried Brooks (fail), Nike (fail) Asics 33 (fail) and now this Saucony Ride 6. I went with the Ride 6 over the newest Ride 7 based on the reviews. I have to say, this is a great great shoe! It is entirely different from the Asics and you couldn't go wrong with either, they are great shoes in their own right. The Ride 6 is a firm and supportive cushion and very light. But as you ground strike they seem soft and have a good energy return. The Asics are all around soft/plush and a bit heavier. The Ride 6 also has flex groves throughout the front and give easy flexibility. The Ride 6 has great ventilation and the don't get as soaked on long runs as my Asics did. Great shoe,I have ordered another set.

I usually do not write negative reviews. But I feel that I have to on this particular type of running shoes. I run a lot and run fast. I do own Saucony Triumph ISO 12, but they wearing off, need to be replaced. I gave a try to this Saucony Men’s Ride 6. NO COMPARISON. Ride 6 is much much tougher soles, no shock absorption. I’m a heel to toe runner, so I do need good heel support and shock absorption. I usually run between 6 and 10 a day, 3-4 days a week at 7:20-7:30/mi pace. Today April 14, 2020 just finished little over 3 miles, it was painful. Lower calfs, heels and lower back. Also shoes seemed to be more narrow. I don’t have wide feet, but these shoes were to tight. Saucony Triumph ISO 12 fit PERFECTLY, true to size and description. Hope it helps other runners.

Gran zapatilla. Tenía el modelo anterior y este es incluso mejor. Gran amortiguación muy parecida a las Ride5 y una mayor ventilación.
