These are GREAT for many reasons. A fantastic value and well made!
Wow! I am impressed! Here's why I love these clamps: First, these clamps are overall well made, and feel solid and study. The spring clamp is strong and grips hard. The clamp jaws are padded with plastic to prevent damage to whatever you clamp to. The business part of this is the red collar and locking screw. This locks firmly when you need it to lock. Howeve the BEST part is that the red collar spins around when the locking screw is loose. This is handy because you can spin the collar around so that the locking screw is located where it's easiest to tighten and loosen. This is a seemingly simple thing but is a great feature. Finally, it is great to see that the red collar is attached to the spring clamp with a pair of screws. This is better than the attachment being welded, glued, or pressed on because this means you can fix it if it breaks, remove it, reinstall it, or whatever. You may never need to do that, but the use of the two screws are just a better attachment method than anything else that would be difficult to repair. Getting two of these for about $10 is a GREAT value.

Perfectly adequate for holding lamps or even cameras such as some of the Blink series. Enables flexible temporary placement of lights and small cameras almost anywhere, even outdoors.

Strong mount
Strong grip, will hold a small radio detachable faceplate in place. May easily hold a camera. Very versatile. Nice to have for future projects

Fine for some light use.
These aren't heavy duty. The clamp is OK but not a super tight clamp. I have gooseneck lamps with way stronger clamps. The ball joint is the same: it clamps OK, but not super secure. I needed two of these for some LED lights and this 2 pack for $13 was worth it. But I only need to adjust them once and can make sure there isn't too much strain on the clip. But for "active" use with any heavier item, this wouldn't be a great option. But for the price, they are fine.

Quality, and can be easily modified for magnet mount
The clamp was a little too big for my space and got in the way of my monitor under the shelf that I wanted to clip the clamp to. But it can be easily modified to attach to a magnet found at home depot, where a piece of sheet metal can then be mounted to a surface so this can be magnetically installed and removed easily, without the clamp. If you take off the clamp, there is a hole in the center of the two screws that normally hold the ball joint thing to the clamp. The hole is not threaded, but perfectly accepts a 1/4-20" tap without any drilling. After threading the hole, it can then be mounted to a shelf, magnet or anything you want with a 1/4" bolt, I chose to mount it to a magnet so I could easily remove it.

I bought it for mounting a go pro and it works a treat. There is a small allen key screw that I don't understand the purpose of. I've removed it and the clamp works fine without it. The clamp is strong and I'd expect it would easily handle a small DSLR. It seems a bit overkill for a little GoPro weight wise but it's sturdy and I'd rather have it solid than flimsy and of course to have the option of using it with bigger cameras too.

I had a car fan with a broken clamp, so I went looking for a sturdy replacement clamp with some sort of mounting option. I figured as long as I can put a bolt through it, I can find a way to make it pivot. No need! These are sturdy yet compact, and have the pivoting action already built-in. This clamp is metal, so it's not going to shatter the way the old one did. The ball head is bolted on, and there are two holes on the other side as well, so there are plenty of options to modify or extend its function (although if you don't need the ball head, you can buy these exact clamps separately too). The little rubberized stopper is simply screwed on, and can be removed for a longer thread. I designed an adapter to attach the shaft of the fan onto the 1/4"-20 thread, and it's a much better mount than it had even before it broke. I've had no issue tightening the ball head so it can be rotated without sagging. Perfect!
