Love it!
Attwood delivers again! I love this clamp swivel! It easily mounts tight so that I don't worry about my seats blowing out of the boat at 70mph yet its super quick and easy to move around or remove. I have 3 of these and they last a long time (The oldest one is over 3 years old), I don't ever see replacing them no matter how much hard use I throw at them. At first the ball bearings are tight and don't swivel as easy as they do once broke in, but after a few uses they spin around easily and quietly even with 280 lb fishing buddies. Ive used "other" seat swivels and they chirped and squeaked every time you moved the slightest bit, and eventually the ball bearings started to fall out after about 1 year, But these Attwood swivels are heavy duty and quite.

Great replacement parts.
Got a free seat missing some base hardware. This fit perfectly. I only wish they'd hold tighter on AlumaCraft benches.

The stability and security my backside deserves
Top notch. I was not expecting this level of quality on a mount that I got for under $20. I'm guessing the aluminum boat seat you attach this to would give out before this mount does. The rotation is build by some low friction plastic slide component instead of more traditional ball bearing. It seems like it will be reliable but that is only difference I see between this design and the 30 year old part I was replacing. Happy with the product. Will update if lake trials change that opinion.

Boats and hose
Ain't used yet but did mount a seat on it. Looks and feels quality. Not to expensive for budget boat. Easy installed. Fits boats

Rock solid
It takes a little while to attach it, using the notched pipe that other reviewers have mentioned, but when it's done, it just doesn't move. Which is pretty important when you're sitting inches away from a live outboard. I'm about to buy a second one for my passengers. I haven't found anything like this in Europe so I've had to buy it from the US.

Good enough for my purposes
As long as you do not think of this as a way to permanently mount a seat to your boat, its pretty good. I have this mounted to a plastic 12ft jonboat and it works good enough for my purposes, but I need to be careful not to lean back in the seat because it will come off. Tightening this thing is a real pain in the ass even when using pliers or channel locks. The way that works best for me is to just tighten the wingnuts with the mount off of the boat and then slide it on to the bench seat as tight as you can get it to go on. I find that if I try and tighten it any more after that point, the mount starts to work its way upward and off of the bench seat. Putting the seat itself on the mount was also a real pain. The easiest way to do that is to take the two rods (the part that clamps on to the bench seat on the boat) off so that you have room to tighten the 4 bolts and screws. I also put gorilla glue on all the screws because I do not want to have to take the whole thing apart and put it back together again if something loosens up. I get my boat to the water by putting it on top of my jeep, and I would not be able to do that with a permanent swivel seat. I just keep the seat and mount in my jeep during the trip to the water and slide it on the bench seat when I get there. Like I said , it's good enough for my purposes, I just hope that I don't forget about it not being tight and end up in the water..

Stays in place!
Strong, sturdy, works very well. Stays in place. Make yourself a tool with a piece of notched pipe (as shown in pics) to make the wingnuts easy to tighten. I used pvc pipe, cut a notch and drilled a hole for a screwdriver to tighten. Check wingnuts and tighten once or twice a week. Very happy with this purchase.

Great solution with some adapting required for my boat
The seat bracket kept sliding off the plastic seat of my 12 foot john boat when I leaned. Then, I bought some hooks from Home Depot and screwed them into the seat bench, and the mount was more solid yet still removable. All in all it worked well with the extra support. I don't think this strategy works particularly well with plastic. It's too slippery.
