Colors and Shapes Memory Match
K**E
Meh. Wish a game player would redesign these for toddlers
If they had stuck to 4 colors you could make a few proper games with this( essentially little kid style game with a standard deck). However, the best game we could come up with is sort of “uno”, but because only certain shapes are in certain color groups, the game is stalled. Otherwise, you can only really play a memory type game, and there are better decks for that. The cards are really big and not the slippery Playing card style and are therefore difficult to shuffle. We were trying to brush up on our shapes and play a game that doesn’t require reading, but they are missing a few my teacher had on her checklist: trapezoid, pentagon, and maybe a few others. If the rethought this, it would be much improved.I

Excellent teaching aid
When my granddaughter was 6 months old, I started teaching her shapes and colors. Before she was a year old, I would lay out 6-12 of the cards and give her the matches. I'd ask her where the other "red triangle" was, and she would look them all over, then point at the matching card. I let her give them to me and I sat them down together. Then, we found the match to the next card. She was always so proud to know the answer and we were proud, too. When the newest granddaughter turned one year old, we bought a set and had it sent to her. They live a long way from here, so we have to leave it up to her parents to use the cards. These are very simple and do a great job of teaching colors and shapes if the parents/grandparents are willing to spend the time and effort.

Lots of ways to use!
We've had these cards for a few months and so far they've worked out great. I use these for my 3 year old twins to learn shapes and colors. I like that if you are creative you can come up with many ways to play with these. We use them as flashcards or sometimes I'll lay a bunch of them out on the floor and ask my kids to pick up certain colors or shapes which they really enjoy. We haven't used them as a memory matching game yet but probably will soon. The only reason I didn't give them five stars is that they are a bit flimsy.

Overall satisfied. Btw
Using these for homeschool PreK on a 2.5yo. I only give her a few sets at a time but she gets really excited. She already knows the colors and shapes but we haven’t mastered the memory game just yet. She still enjoys playing with them. Overall satisfied. Btw: diamond is rhombus in this set. She knows it as diamond and I don’t correct her yet.

Success
It's a hit! I bought these for my younger nephews so that they could play "cards" too. Now they always want to play. The 3 year old is especially thrilled that he "wins" when he matches them and names the shapes and colors. Even though he doesn't yet fully grasp the memory game concept he will keep flipping the cards over until he gets a match.

Good for training chickens!
I know this sounds crazy to some people, but I actually used these to train my chickens to recognize shapes and colors for treats. They worked very well for that purpose... just in case someone else wants to train their chickens, too. I swear, this is an actual thing. Google it!
