The part was easy to replace, unplug the microwave, remove a hand full of screws to get the bottom cover off the microwave and a couple more to remove the old motor. The wire connector in the microwave connected up to the new part perfectly and the part went into position without any issues. Finished it up by screwing the bottom cover back on and plugging the microwave back in. In total it should take between 10 and 20 minutes for the average person to replace the part depending on how familiar they are with the microwave and their skill with a Phillips screwdriver. For over a month with heavy use the part has performed with no distinguishable difference from the original part before it failed. I was glad I didn't try to force it upward while the motor was still attached because I suspect it would have broken. The symptoms were first just a noise from the turntable and progressively got worse with the turntable barely spinning.
