The paint was my own mixture of royal blue, hunter green, and aluminum to mimic an original Ford-Lincoln color from the 1960s for use in engine bay and trunk (would have paid ten times the amount for automotive paint, with no guarantee that the color was right). Excellent results. In my case, two parts acetone with one part paint in hot weather was perfect: no bumps, no running, very fine spray. It is a tool. You must have patience and find your own method. Review: BAD batch! - I have used this product before and had great success, so when the time came to paint more air vents I sought out a more economical way to buy these aerosol cans. Way cheaper on desertcart and I bought a four pack. Four cans were way more than I needed to finish my job. All four cans failed. Out of four cans I was only able to spray one coat onto the louvres of one vent. They wouldn’t even suck up water. The aerosols would only empty themselves and even back spray on their own. I had some success with a hot wet towel wrapped around the aerosol, but again I did not get much paint through these cans. Waste of time and money. Just used it to touch-up the single stage paint on a car. Finish had a lot of orange peel and had to be wet sanded and buffed.
