Nice Knife
I bought this knife for my son who is in Boy Scouts. We considered the cheaper knifes that "look cool", but decided to go with a well known brand (Kershaw). I have several Kershaw knives that I use regularly and they are excellent. My son wanted this knife because of the relatively large blade and the look. The knife is well built. It is also light weight. The blade locks in place when opened. It is only sharp on one side of the blade even though it kind of looks like both sides would be used for cutting. I think this was just to give the knife the look they were going for but still be usable like a standard pocket knife. No complaints at all about the knife. If you like the look of the knife, it is well made and won't be a disappointment.

Very unique style!
Heavy duty folder! The style is very cool too! It’s sharp right out of the box but there is always room to hone it to get it a little better!

Good for daily use
Good knife for the price point. You will not feel bad if you loose it fishing. lock is marginal, should hold up to light use. Can open single handed. decent clip. is this a $100.00 or $300 dollar knife? Nope, you will however find it worlds better than those gun show junk blades for $35.00. Overall a good value with a decent, easily sharpened blade. if you want something for hard use the cold steel recon- lock, blade thickness and heft is worlds better. keep in mind this is a inexpensive knife that will cut rope, seatbelts, boxes, and not hurt your feelings if lost. You will not punch it thru a car door or use it as a hammer/chisel. I find it the ideal size to clip on a load bearing vest or shoulder strap on backpack.

This Kershaw XCom is a Keeper
Nice knife. I own a few Kershaw knives. The Kershaw XCom stands out for the blade shape, feel, and size. It's a good value.

Kershw Knife
Excellent quality knife that holds its edge even when abused. This company stands behind their product with their guarantee. Nice size and the clip works perfectly in jean or other work pants. The blade lock has held even when I expected it may not. Do be careful closing it and don't rush...I've found out the hard way just how sharp the blade still is after a few months of use and abuse. I recommend this product.

Knife is good except for deployment
Knife is sharp, good blade design, lockup, centering, grip. The deployment "stud" sucks. I have to actively thing about deploying it or my thumb will slip right off even though it has some jimping on it. Almost have to do an outward instead of an upwards motion. If this was your only knife that deployed with a thumb flick it would probably be ok. It is just way deffernt than any others that I have which is quite a few. It is still a good value for the money but the deployment really made me not like it that much. I tink it if had a normal thumb stud it would be much better.

Oh it's REALLY sharp!
I bought this knife for my brother and gave it to him on Christmas Eve. He's had the pleasure of using the Kershaw Military-Style Pocketknife for a few a few hours, and it’s quickly become his go-to tool for a variety of tasks. The first thing that strikes you is how incredibly sharp this knife is right out of the box. It effortlessly slices through tough materials, from rope to cardboard and even FINGERS, with precision and ease. The blade maintains its edge remarkably well, even after extended use, which speaks volumes about its durability. After a short trip to the ER and a few... maybe 8 stitches later my brother is as good as new and back to being the knife wielding, cardboard box killing, Jesus preaching, father, husband and brother we all know and love. He highly recommends this knife for all your day to day needs.
