What sort/ size stand should I buy for this?

Any normal size stand will fit mine went into the stand I already had which is a heavy metal one for stability hope this helps.

Doesn’t this parasol have a base which it fits into or must it be used with a table?

I use it will a table. I would think a table is essential to stabilise the weight of the parasol with it’s height.

Is the pole made from powder-coated steel?

Don’t think so as magnetic bottle opener won’t stick to it. It is powder coated and the pole is lightweight but strong
