It wasn't made of a quality to match the price of the item.
The guide and the base were of good quality materials but the top magnetic frame was fragile and thin with the magnets falling out when I first separated the two half's. Not strong enough to hold my quilting projects.

Fantastic hoop
I was a little unsure about ordering the hoop, the style, and the size due to the cost. However, it is absolutely worth every cent. I doubt I will go back to the original hoops, at least not for the type of embroidery I want to do. I love it and will eventually get the smaller size as well.

Did not fit my Ellisimo Gold
The box has a sticker on it saying that it fits the Ellisimo Gold however I was unable to insert it into the embroidery hoop holder. It appears to be too tall for the opening. I was very disappointed. I also feel it was unfair that I had to pay the postage to return it!

This product is fabulous, great for quilting long borders. Also for large projects...Highly recommend. It also comesin a smaller size for 5x7 projects..Enjoy

MORE FUN SEWING AND LESS HOOPING!
More sewing, less hoopingAfter lots of thought, I finally saved up for this one major tool. Yes, just like the other reviewers, I now use it all the time. I make a lot of gifts and personalize the towels, bags and shirts with monograms and designs. It is a "must have" with bulky projects and difficult fabrics where standard hoops are a pain. This magnetic grip hoop does a great job and gives me more time to create and have fun. One reviewer wisely mentioned that you need to use the nylon separator board to keep the top and bottom apart. This big powerful magnetic hoop holds the fabric in place and clings to itself also.Which hoop to order?You need to go to the manufacturers website to learn which is the correct hoop for your machine. I have a Brother DreamWeaver™ XE VM6200D and this Large snap hoop fits very snugly in the gilded clip on my machine also. If you are careful with the insertion and removal of the hoop (which is a little tight), it will become your favorite hoop. It is a must have if you are working with difficult doing borders or some type of repeating pattern. It makes re-hooping less of an ordeal..... and gives me more time to have fun.
