So worth the money!
For as long as I could remember I have always wanted one. I caved in and bought one. I absolutely think it is beautiful the colors are very vibrant. I bought the 17 inch Galileo thermometer it came securely wrapped everything arrived in one piece nothing broken. This is a perfect added piece to any Decour in your home. And yes it comes with directions on how to read it, how it works as well as a little history of Galileo Galilei. This is a perfect item to have in your home it is absolutely beautiful.

It was exactly what I wanted

Not accurate.
Did not seem to work properly ? I put it in a climate controlled room set set the temp @ 64 degrees. I left it overnight & the next morning the Galileo Thermometer responded properly all floats were up. I then set the temp to 68 degrees and again left it over night and the Galileo Thermometer again responded properly the first float sank to the bottom. I progressed and now turned the temp to 72 degrees and again left it over night. The next day FALURE ! 5 of the 7 floats sank to the bottom telling me it was 84 degrees. I really like the way it looks but if you are looking for accuracy this it not your item

Colorful Thermometer, check yours very carefully when delivered.
We have bought several of these over the last couple of years. Out of the last 5 in separate shipments, 4 arrived unbroken, 1 of the remaining 4 was not calibrated correctly and had the wrongly weighted bubble in the middle needing a return, and one of them started leaking while sitting on the shelf from what appears to be a hairline crack.Fragile and such, but if you can keep one working they are colorful and fun.

Looks good but doesn’t function.
Package arrived unbroken and looked good. After allowing to cool indoors for hours, only one orb floated. The rest stay at the bottom. I used an infrared reading of the liquid has it at 76 degrees Fahrenheit but the orbs suggest that it is actually 86 degrees inside— very inaccurate. I’m returning this product and seeking out a more reputable manufacturer.

Simple, functional, artistic, everlasting if you are careful.
Works well. I liked the different coloured balls.Just the right number of balls for approximate temp. result. Looks good.
