Geedel Rotary Cheese Grater Hand Crank, Cheese Shredder Vegetable Slicer

Excellent kitchen assistive device! I have always loved carrot salad but lacked a tool to finely grate the carrots. When first I received the Geedel Grater, it looked like a toy and indeed it is rather lightweight, but now I can finely grate carrots in just a few minutes when formerly, it took 30 minutes or more. PS: It would be great for grating carrots for making carrot cake! I love the speed of grating and the consistency (three whole carrots in 5 minutes flat!) I have also made wavy potato chips with the wavy grater and my husband and I love them; so far I've fried them but I suspect one could lightly oil the chips and bake them also turning them from time to time on parchment paper. The ice grater tests the stability of the grater handle and device and I cannot see using it often unless for someone who needs to take in liquids slowly as in someone who has an illness and for that it would be handy. The slicer slices nicely. The coarse grater would make wonderful hash browns. I really cannot say enough about how much this little grater has aided me in the kitchen. Some of the other brands had curved half graters that slipped into the barrel but I didn't think they would last as well as the Geedel. The device locks down securely on a flat, smooth surface. The handle locks in securely as do the grater barrels. Easy clean up and if the carrots stain it, a little bleach quickly cleans the stains off and then it rinses clean. I love it! Thank you for making a wonderful product for my kitchen needs! It would be nice to know that replacement parts were available, but for now, it's all good!

Stop grating cheese by hand like a caveman. This rotary crank actually works. It shreds a block of cheddar in seconds without taking skin off your knuckles, and the suction base holds it firmly to the counter so it doesn't slide around. Cleanup is straightforward. Buy it.

I was skeptical at first but this shredder is perfect it’s small the suction cup is durable it honestly feels cheap and light but don’t let that fool you it’s amazing ! I shredded cheese and vegetables in seconds -it will save you time and it’s easy to clean I haven’t put it in the dishwasher so not sure about that but it’s a 10 out of 10

I always used my Cuisinart to grate cheese but stopped because of the effort it took to get it set up. Then cleaning the discs was always a chore. This grater works great! It's fairly intuitive setting it up. The suction is strong enough to keep it on the counter while in use. The crank is a little finicky, but in the end I figured out how to attach it and have it not fall off. The grating goes quickly and BOOM grated cheese! The grater is well worth the $22 that I spent when I ordered this. It comes in a variety of colors - something for everyone!

I love this little shredder! It’s very well made and works great for shredding cheese and slicing cucumbers. Very Easy to clean and easy to store. It holds tight to counter really great. What a blessing! I just got the 4 blade one. It’s really all I need. I have a food processor but it’s so big, I always think about using it but then I have to get it out and then clean it, so I end up doing it with the hand shredder. But this makes the job so easy that I actually enjoy doing it! Great purchase. Great price!

I LOVE this grater. Ive only used it to grate parmesan cheese so far, but it is far superior to all the other grater gadgets I've purchased. The quality and design make it easy to use. It suctions to the counter and does not move. Setting it up and grating is quick and easy and cleaning it is a breeze. I can't wait to try all the other grating heads this comes with. Highly recommend!

Time saver for shredding and slicing. It's sturdy, assembles/disassembles quickly, and it's easy to use and clean. Only drawbacks are that it slices very thin and needs a flat surface for the suction to work. Won't stick to a tile counter, but it will stick to a cutting board.

I bought this because I have arthritis in my hands. I also don’t have a dishwasher. I have been using my food processor to shred cheese. Getting it out, assembling it and washing all the parts by hand is not easy for me, especially getting stuck on cheese off. So, this seemed like a good thing to try. It’s smaller and easier to setup than the food processor. It’s more difficult to use because the suction base doesn’t hold at all. I’m using it on a laminate counter that other things with suction work on. Taking it apart went fine until I tried to separate the clear tube piece from the base. It was impossible for me. My husband was able to get it off. The shredding was not ideal with a softer cheese (gouda). After cutting the block to fit, a section kept going around the cylinder. To shred enough cheese for mac and cheese required using a small bowl and moving the shredded cheese to a larger bowl frequently because the output is very low. I didn’t try the other blades because I am able to slice vegetables with a knife. The pieces are easier to wash than the food processor parts, but overall, it’s more work and it’s frustrating trying to hold it in place. I don’t see myself getting much use out of it. Will give it to my daughter who has a tiny kitchen and no food processor. Maybe it will stick to her counter. Not good for my needs.
