Great material and craftsmanship. I haven’t tried this for the plane yet, but it seems like it would fit under your seat. For sure in an overhead bin if that doesn’t work out. Nice and roomy. I don’t mind the zippers. Fabric is beautiful and sturdy.

I love this bag. It is surprising how much you can fit in it. I find that using packing cubes helps keep clothing organized, It looks and acts like a Mary Poppins bag where you can keep pulling more and more out of it. If you are a minimal packer this bag is for you

This is the cutest bag i’ve ever bought! I use it for a temple bag and it fits everything PERFECTLY! All my sister in laws and my mom got the same one. It’s amazing quality and I have nothing bad to say about it! There is a tiny zipper pocket in there too!

It's very functional: can be used as travel bag or over-sized handbag. Outside Zipper is smooth and easy to open and close. Interior pocket is large with a zippered closure The tapestry is bright, floral, lovely and well stitched. Leather handles add a chic touch. Quality Construction inside and out. So impressed that I ordered the matching, smaller handbag and make-up bag.

Very pleased with this purchase. I’ve made a few modifications - the main one being that I shortened the handles - to use it as a carpet bag in performances (I needed a period-looking carpet bag for the performances I give as a fellow of the 1840s to 1864). As a colporteur, Phrenologist, traveling apothecary, proprietor of a traveling museum, orator delivering speeches on politics and Temperance, reciting poetry, and preaching sermons both comedic and serious, I carry a fair amount of baggage. I have paid far more for reproduction portmanteaus, traveling bags (similar to a modern day long gym bag, with short handles), and reproduction carpet bags. If you’re willing to spend some time and effort, this can be transformed into a period-looking carpet bag that is very convincing, for about $200 less than a reproduction. I invested about 5 to 6 hours, and the result is what I wanted and needed. It’s sturdy and handsome.

Looks great but not a level of quality that can withstand daily or regular use. Also, not free returns, tried to return, just not the size I need, got an email with potential fees of undisclosed amounts once they received and inspected it. Also, not returned via Amazon easy to return process.

This bag is great for weekends away. It's big enough to hold all you could need for a weekend away but small enough to carry onto a plane. It's very sturdy and looks super cute!
