Is this pot 18/10 stainless steel ? I dont see that anywhere in the description.

No. HomiChef products are nickel free. In 18/10 stainless, the 18 represents chromium and the 10 represents nickel content. This product is nickel free. Nickel does help stainless to be more corrosion resistant, but nickel is toxic and will leach into your food. HomiChef products are safer to use and will last a lifetime if cared for properly. I am soooooooooooo happy with the quality of their products and love using them knowing it is so much healthier for myself and my family.

No it does not have a canning rack. It is an 8 Qt pot. It seems to be a very nice pot, but you might consider a larger one which they have under their commercial brand. I believe they have both a 16 quart and 20 quart. Their customer service is excellent!
