These are NOT Line 24 snaps
These are absolute garbage if you're working with leather. They are NOT Line 24 snaps and saying they are is a lie. The posts are so short that an average thickness of leather needs enormous holes punched so the post can reach the fastener back. I destroyed a perfectly good leather project trying to make these work but in the end the slightest pressure made them pop off. Avoid!!!

EXCELLENT.
If you are a police officer, emt or public servant and use a duty belt then you know the struggle of loosing a snap fastner. I found these to be easy to use and just right for the majority of leather items on my duty belt. They fit just just fine and do the job. In the event one breaks again simply replace it. The kit comes with plenty. I see too many good leather items in the trash simply because the snap broke.

Not what I expected.
I just recently started playing with recycled belts for fun during the COVID-19 social distancing lock down. I read reviews and more reviews trying to find the best quality snap for my leather belt project. I thought I had got the right snaps. Wanted either Line 20 or 24 snaps, they are supposed to be heavier duty. Received this box, NO WHERE does it say on this item I received that they are even Line 24, which is specifically what I wanted, not even in small writing. Made in CHINA, of course. I got the mixed box. I thought the posts were 5/8 long, they are really only 1/4 inch at best. The nickel looking snaps wont secure in my belt, but the gold color snaps do. I don't get it. They all should work the same, they are not true to size. If you are using thin material these will work fine I would guess. Careful not to hit them too hard they will distort the cap. For the price I guess I should have known better. I did expect to see Line 24 somewhere on the description describing the contents. I will look elsewhere, so I can finish my project as these won't go through the belts.

Good quality -- excellent price
I believe these are actually Line 20 snaps with 3/16" posts. They are indistinguishable from those from leather supply companies. Same good quality, and an excellent price. Easily set if you work on a very solid surface free from vibration (floors work well...or chunks of marble or steel) --this makes a surprising difference. I have been doing leatherwork off and on since the mid-70s.

They worked great for me!
I purchased a snap kit from a big box store so I could attach the Molle holder to my Duluth trading over thr back seats organizer. After much cursing, broken snaps, and smashed fingers I gave up and threw the kit away. I found this kit on Amazon and it arrived within two days. The difference in kits is night and day! I attached the molle to the back, which faces forward and is accessible from the front seat. After I found how easy it was I decided to fix the organizer and add snaps to the long pocket. The organizer works great with a few caveats. They failed to bring the Velcro down far enough on the pocket and if you put anything heavy in the pocket it flops open. I like to carry my hiking poles and my tripod in the pocket. Problem solved with my newly added snaps. I think I’ll be snap crazy for awhile fixing things that have been irritating me with all of my hiking and camping gears. Well worth the money. If anything changes or they don’t hold up well over time I’ll be updating my review but for now I’m extremely happy. Money well spent and I did purchase these with my own money. I was not compensated in any way from this company. This is my honest review.

Found my new snap and rivet supplier.
Love these! They set better and easier in my leather projects than the Tandy branded ones. They arrived 2 weeks earlier than expected. AND the seller was so kind and included a bonus pack of rivets as well! I will definitely be buying again.

Had trouble using the tools supplied.
The actual snap fastener where fine, no problem, but the included tools to put them together required more skill than I have. It's very difficult to hold the punch and hammer and keep the fastener pieces aligned on the anvil, while striking the punch tool. I found the two parts of the fastener more than likely will be askew and not fitting together to snap shut, when done. But I found using my pop rivet tool, with a small nail (6 penny?), works like a charm. Feed the nail thru the base, the fabric, and the Snap part, then squeezing the tool slowly, and just require one hand, while making sure all the parts are aligned, that squeeze until the parts are firmly riveted together. Make sure that the head of the nail used, will not distort the snap as it crushes the rivet. This wont work for the flat button cover, unless you drill a 9/64" hole, down thru the rivet and the shiny domed head, to put the nail thru every thing.

A great kit for repairing coats, hobbyist or leather craft work!
I have a nice coat that I like to wear in the wintertime and it has 9 pockets that close with snaps plus the snaps on the sleeves. About 6 snaps fell off over a short period of time so I purchased this kit. It was about the same price as the small package of snaps from the local fabric store. With this Amazon kit you get a lot of snaps and the tools to install them, which is necessary bonus. The original snaps were not installed properly on the jacket. I used the tools to re-rivet all of the remaining snaps and it worked perfectly. I then replaced the missing snaps and they matched the original snaps. They were the right size and color. The installation was easy and simple. The kit comes with a tool to punch holes into cloth or leather. I didn’t need it but it is nice to have. There is also a flaring tool and a metal anvil to use while flaring/riveting the snaps. This is a good kit for making or repairing garments and coats. It is also an ideal kit for hobbyist or leather craft work. This is a good kit for the money and I am glad I got it. It saved my favorite winter top coat.5 stars!
