My husband has a large skull, (lots of brains!), and has a hard time finding a cap or hat that fits. This baseball-style cap with the sun-flap fits perfectly, and he loves it. He wears it to do yard work, and it protects his neck and ears, which a regular cap could not, and the flap does not hinder vision. I can rinse it easily and keep it fresh. He likes that it is lightweight and comfortable in hot weather. He chose the gray, and now I will order him a tan one, for travel. I would love a pink cap for myself, and I am glad that it is adjustable, as I have a small head.(no brains?). Haha. Really, this cap is a winner, and anyone with a larger head should consider it. Light blue would be nice, too. . .

As advertised, this hat provides SOLID protection from the sun. I wore this hat in 100deg heat, performing yard work, and it worked absolutely GREAT!! I was never overheated and the flap covers my neck so I didn't get sun burn there. I highly recommend.

Although I did NOT buy this to keep the sun off the back of my neck, I bought it to keep female mosquitoes from feasting on my neck while I am out with my dogs in the woods. I will probably add some weight to the lower edge of the back of the flap so that it stays down. Don't want those pesky females getting to my neck.

Compared to the Columbia Cachalot III (which I returned) the hat offers excellent sun protection with the neck flap, which is a few inches longer than the very short Columbia version.

the hat was exactly what i expected. seems to be very good quality. it was easy to adjust to size. i needed it to keep the sun from my neck and ears while mowing and gardening. i would recommend this to any one needing the same protection.

I would have given this 5 stars, but it looks like you should be on a desert trek with camels when you wear it. It does everything it says it should, but my husband returned it because it looked dorky to wear.

This hat does what I expected: It keeps my neck covered. I find it a little heavy but this is probably due to the fact that I very seldom wear head covering. Overall, I am pleased with the product.
