Old school opener , does the job better than new designs , solid metal body will last ages.

I wasn't sure about this until I used it. Ingenious. I had a jar of beetroot with a big 5" lid that i've tried removing for months without success ( I can't use my left arm to help much). With this it just did it, no bother. Brilliant design. It tightens on the lid more as you twist and with such a large smooth area to grip it is a breeze to use. The sharp pointy bit is very sharp but you can easily hang it from wherever rather than throwing it in a cutlery draw.

Bought this as struggle to open some jars, have a few devices but this one is very practical to use, solid made tackle all sizes with ease and does the job 👍Highly recommended

As a bottle opener, fair enough. However the spike has no safety cover and makes the product far too dangerous; it could be considered to be an offensive weapon. I am seriously considering disposing of it before I get wounded again.THIS NEEDS AN 18+ PURCHASE REQUIREMENT.Be warned, this is a health hazard.Update: this product fails in its primary function of opening metal screw cap glass bottles. Also on plastic cap plastic bottles it distorts the cap into an oval before it develops enough grip. As far as I can see the wedge angle is too steep for the type of rubber gripper installed. It probably worked fine when it was first marketed but I suspect the rubber grade has been changed. With patience, time, and a lot of unnecessary strength you can open bottles but this should be far easier for such an expensive product. Evidently not recently tested on real bottles.
