Simply BRILLIANT!
I got my five year-old son a 3ds XL for Christmas. He doesn't have any real experience with videogames other than ipad games. He is a big Batman & Robin fan so I bought this as well, not really expecting much. Well, he liked it but his lack of experience was frustrating him and he was not doing well with it, and I noticed that there was a co-op mode. After a great deal of research I found that - unlike Mario Kart 7 - this title requires a second copy of the game for two player co-op mode. So I ordered a second 3ds system and a second copy of the game and we settled in to try things out. First... I was absolutely thrilled with the two-player experience. Once my son realized we were both controlling the characters on his screen, he was completely relaxed and announced that this was the neatest thing ever! I was thinking the same thing myself! At one point we encountered the Joker, who my son was afraid of, and I saw Robin immediately turn tail and speedily exit stage left. After I quit laughing, I told my son he had better get back in there and help me fight! Anyway, that is the end of my pseronal story. I thought it was relevant for others in my situation. If you have a younger child who is not videogames savvy, this is a great way to help them learn the game. It also lets video gaming become a co-operative activity with the two of us, rather than an anti-social activity with him off in a corner with headphones and the rest of the world tuned out. We play and talk together and it is a lot of fun for both of us. Now on to the game. Wow... I'm truly impressed. I was a gamer most of my life, but parenthood has put a damper on things. My last real PC game was The Elder Scrolls Arena. I haven't found time for Skyrim. So I've been away from gaming for a couple of years. And I never even began to understand the concept of the lego games. As an adult, I didn't see the point. Playing this game has evoked some rather impressive reactions from me. I am truly amazed by the thought that has gone into this game. The Level that has the giant Joker Robot pounding Batman and Robin down into, the subway is truly inspired. Dealing with the feet, which have crushed their way several stories below street level, and the clever ways in which Batman and Robin defeat the enemy are a treat. A great deal of imagination and effort went into this game design. It is clever and that makes it a great deal of fun to play. Also, the levels vary widely, some levels, have you advancing methodically through buildings and rooms, while others have you in the subway or on the streets, or even chasing a vehicle with very different gameplay. There are constantly new scenarios being mixed in with the familiar ones. I didn't particularly care for the vehicle chase segment, but it didn't matter, once you beat it, you move on to a totally different scene fighting on top of the moving vehicle which is brilliant. On top of all of this, the game designers have included DOZENS and DOZENS of playable characters that you can unlock and go back and free play with - like Poison Ivy, Harley Quinn, Superboy, Batgirl, AquaMan and ,any, many more. It is very rare that I am this complimentary of a game, but Batman 2 exceeded all of my expectations and even though it requires two copies of the game to play co-op two player mode, it is so good that the developer deserves the money for two copies! In short, don't hesitate to get this game, no matter what your level of experience is, the game is so well done and so cleverly implemented that you are bound to enjoy it.

PC version requires higher specs than previous lego games
I think this is the best lego game yet because: *) Gameplay has improved, it really feels that it is a new engine. This is not a remake of previos lego games, it is similar but feel better. *) Original story with voice acting. My PC version has English, Spanish and more spoken laguages. It is more appealing to know what will happens next than with already known stories like Harry Potter. I think Harry Potter makes no sense storywise. *) Characters and Suits are so different between them that better co-operation is achievable, as compared with other franchises were characters are too similar. *) Open World is great. My kids enjoy a lot fooling around in Pirates of the Caribbean and Clone Wars, so I know this will be a great feature here. Only two bad things: *) This game demands more machine specs than previuos lego games. I have an old Alienware m15 with NVIDIA 8800M GTX were we have played all previos lego games, even the newest like Clone Wars, Pirates and Harry Potter. But this game runs kind of sluggish there, playable but with some lags. Myabe I need more RAM, but we ended up playing on our newest custom built computer with an ATI Radeon HD 6900 which of course its more than enough. You don't need latest graphics adapter, but will not run on an old machine. *) I usually buy downloaded games, I don't like to have the DVD around. My conclusion is that this is the best lego game that I have played in many many years, great for co-op between brothers, friends or even dad and kid. Go for it, but if your PC is kind of old, just go with the console Versions and avoid frusration.

Fun Times
Bought this as our family really liked Lego Avengers. I don't think this is quite as polished as the Avengers, but it's still a great game! In Avengers, your pairing of Super-Heroes changes with every level. In Batman 2, you usually have to use Batman & Robin, but their suits can change during the game. Both are fine ways to play. You get pretty good with Batman & Robin this way. One thing I like about Batman 2, is that the vehicles are used better in this game. In Avengers, you basically unlock vehicles and that's about it. You don't really need them for missions as Iron Man flies from the get-go. Batman can't fly. In Batman 2, you actually use the Bat-Mobile to get around town. In the Avengers, you usually just pick a flying character to get around town as that's the easiest way around. You have missions/levels in Batman 2 where you are chasing and shooting The Joker from the Bat Plane. This was a fun change from the Avengers. The story actually might be a little better in Batman 2 compared to the Avengers. The Joker and Lex Luthor team-up makes more sense here. Also, I love the Joker's Jokerbot (A giant Transformer/Jaeger being controlled by Lex and The Joker). And Batman's jealousy of Superman is pretty funny in the dialogue cut-scenes as well. I enjoyed both games, and recommend both. Definitely worth the low price here!

Great Game, but no 1st player support for Orignal WiiMote!
This is a great game, with a huge improvement over it's predecessor. I have not yet played, Lego Undercover, Lego Marvel Superheroes, or the Lego Movie Video Game, but my whole family really loves playing this game - wife and 2 small kids! This is actually the only game I have on the Wii U that my wife enjoys playing! A first for her! I've given this game a 4 star because it lacks support for Wii mote 1 player and only supports the Wii U pad for 1 player mode. The Wii U pad is cool, but its not a requirement for the mechanics of this game. I am one of those people who loved using the layout of the Wii mote with Nunchuck! It was very comfortable and convenient for me Vs. using the layout of a standard controller type of device AKA PS and Xbox, Wii U pro controller...I advise Nintendo to offer use of the Wii mote setup for all its games!!

Best Lego game on the 3DS!
Ok, so my 5 year old son loves Lego games. He plays Lego Indiana Jones on the Xbox but usually has trouble with some of the puzzles so I usually join him to help beat the levels. I eventually bought him Lego Indiana Jones 2 DS version but forget it, controls were clunky and puzzles were harder. Then I saw this game was going to be released soon so I kept in on my radar. I eventually downloaded the demo and thought it played very well so I decided it would be worth the purchase. My son has been playing it and I can gladly say he is enjoying. The controls are smooth and he's is plowing through the levels with ease. The puzzle sequences are so well put together to where they're not too hard but yet it gives him a challenge. It almost walks him through it. For example: When he completes a puzzle, coins will appear and show him where to jump or which direction to go. The level design is great along with the gameplay. I do think the handheld version is geared more towards the younger crowd but it doesn't mean its not a good game because it is. I often have to stop myself from snatching the 3DS from my son. :)

One problem after the next.
I purchased this Lego Batman 2 DC Superheroes game. I'll just go ahead and start listing the issues. 1. The game is damn near impossible to play on the keyboard. You cannot use your mouse. And it gives no instructions on what controllers would be compatible if any. I want to buy a controller and cannot find anywhere online which one I can use. And the mini pamphlet it comes with is useless. I see people online ALL saying they used a controller instead. Well, which one? Please, to the seller, email me and let me know this answer. I want to be able to actually USE the game I purchased. This game is so much better on tablets. I found this game on my sons Amazon free time tablet and started playing it. He wasn't about me taking over his tablet, so I bought the game. Now I can't even play it. 2. I received no product code with the game. All of the LEGO superhero games are supposed to be ran with Steam. When you order the Lego Marvel Superheroes game, for instance, Steam pops up immediately and you can start the game through that by typing in the product code provided. This did no such thing, even though it was supposed to. Without the product code, I can't even do it by myself either.

LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes - PC
Okay, game was easy to install on my Asus ROG j551jm gaming laptop that has a DVD player built-in. Movie scenes after each gameplay level can be long. Can be a fun multiplayer game for 2 people. Batman is the best. Controls are okay, but finding out what to do to win each level can be difficult. Installation was was easy if Installation fails try reinstalling again.

Great game
My kids and I love this game. We really enjoyed the first Lego Batman game and this one is a little different as far as how to throw the batarangs. But I love that Robin is given more acrobatic skill and there is more problem-solving involved for this game. I also like that you have to be more careful on this game with weapons (ie. if Batman throws a batarang and Robin is too close, it may hit Robin; or if Batman uses a sticky bomb to blow something up, he can't stand too close or else he will also lose a life). We like the storyline and my kids like that the characters say their dialog while it is also typed below. We are still trying to figure out how to unlock other characters, but I'm sure it won't be long and we'll be experts. This is really a great game that my kids already fight over.
