Came through in an emergency
Our area experienced a tropical storm and another sever thunderstorm 2 days later both of which caused extreme amounts of flooding. After the tropical storm, I decided that we needed a backup pump in case our primary Zoeller iron pump in our sump hole in the basement were to fail during a storm or if so much water came into our basement in a short period of time causing the french drain to overflow, we would need 2 pumps going at once. This Zoeller-42-0007 seemed like the perfect choice since it's the same brand as our trusty primary sump pump and a garden hose gets attached to it which can then be routed to the large sink in our basement to train into. I placed the order and it showed up 2 days later much sooner than the estimated shipping arrival date stated. Good thing it did because that night, another storm hit our area and since the ground was already saturated from the tropical storm 2 days before, the rain water came rushing into our basement and immediately overflowed the french drain. Within minutes, the sump hole in the basement floor was overflowing because the Zoeller primary pump could not get the water pumped out as fast as it was coming in. I hadn't even opened the box or read the instructions yet for this Zoeller-42-0007 but out of desperation, I tore open the box and prayed this thing would be plug and play and boy was it as soon as I plugged it in, it started working and once I attached a garden hose to the top and placed it into the sump hole, it started pumping water through the hose and into the large sink 25 feet away with impressive pressure. I estimate it pumped out 2 hundred gallons of water within an hour and with 2 Zoeller pumps going at the same time in the sump hole, our basement did not completely flood. If this Zoeller-42-0007 hadn't arrived that afternoon, our basement would have likely had 6 inches of water in it ruining a lot of valuables and causing significant damage. This Zoeller-42-0007 is one badass mf'er!

Great Sump Pump!
I use this unit along w/ two regular braided stainless steel hoses, like the ones that you would use on your washing machine . I hook it up to the service valves on my Rinnai tankless hot water heater and run 2.5 gallons of vinegar that is sitting in a bucket through the heater to de-scale it every 18-24mths. [ If you are using a water softener, there should be minimal build up ]. Does what it needs to. So far no issues.

had trouble priming
I bought this to remove 1" of standing water from my garage. Once it's primed, it will suck up most of the water. Trouble is I had a heck of a time getting it primed and staying running. I ended up having to disconnect the hose, pour water in the top, put it back in the water, wait till it turned into a fountain, then reconnect the hose. Not fun and i got sprayed. While it's running, it does work quickly and quietly. But it can cut out before you are down to that magical 1/8".I will say their customer service rep wrote me back promptly. What he said is that the pump requires about 2-4" of standing water to get primed and running. So keep that in mind. Maybe there is some strategy I don't know? I'm sure this works great to fix a flooded basement, but for that nagging garage puddle it is not the best.

Great Corrosion-Resistant Submersible Pump
I bought the pump for flushing my tankless water heater. It worked as expected and I appreciated the quiet operation. I would recommend this pump for this application. The pump is made in Taiwan.

This is a great sucker.
This thing worked really well. My sister's cellar was flooded by a broken pipe next in the vacant house next door. After the water was cut off, we were able to suck out all the water, except for about 1/2" in almost no time. I highly recommend this gizmo.

Very reliable pump
This is the second pump from Zoeller that I bought. I use this pump in a custom made recirculating water wall I created. The first lasted 9 years totally submerged 24/7/365. The pump sets inside an 8" diameter vertical PVC pipe mounted to a wall. I access the pump from underneath via an 8" clean-out cap. This is the only pump I trust for this installation.

Good pump, but doesn't work for what I'd hoped it would.
Having groundwater coming in to a corner of our basement, I was looking for something that worked in a similar manner to what a shop-vac would. We have Zoeller pumps in 3 sump pits in our basement, and they are bullet proof and never fail. Once I was able to prime this pump, it did a great job of getting the floor almost completely dry and pulled almost all water off the floor. This pump doesn't have a float, so once the water has been removed it won't work again without starting the process over again. I have no idea who makes a pump that would have a switch or float that would pull "floor water" as it comes in, but this isn't the pump for that.

NOT WARRANTIED ?!!
I ordered a week ago, brand new, took delivery today (Jan.2017) .Warranty slip in the box says: "Warranty... one year from purchase date... or.. 18 months from manufacture date, whichever comes first". But nameplate says manufacture date was 2013. So apparently there is NO WARRANTY.Zoeller... dudes.... really? At least I got a laugh from Zoeller's registered trademark: "Your peace of mind is our top priority".On the plus side, it pumped OK for the 60 seconds I had it plugged in.
