19th Century Narrow Fall Pants Pattern

These require two modifications to make them fit and flex like store bought pants. First, I left out the gusset around the waist so that they would hold up without help from suspenders or a belt. This may not work for someone with a Budweiser blimptitude beer belly. Second, they become too tight and unflexable when squatting down. However this is completely corrected by putting in side pockets which make them a perfect fit.Also, they work well with glow-in-the dark fabric from Bulgaria that is on e-bay. The 5" by 5' sheet of this cloth is enough to make these pants. What a riot to wear them with a matching glow-in-the-dark waistcoat into a dark theater and saying, "Who spiked my laundry detergent with radium salts?!"

Exactly what I wanted and received it within 3 days...gotta love that! Only hassle was paying but that was probably due to computer issues with Amazon.

Works well for those involved in really wanting to look the part in an event staged in the 1800's. Could use better directions for sewing, though.

Great pattern. Looks easy enough, and easy to modify.
