Decent Longevity. Great Value *by R***. on January 28, 2023* Purchased these for "coping" baseboard inside corners. Novice DIYer. Saw a video using an angle grinder instead of a coping saw to do this. Was worried about my ability to control the angle grinder sufficiently to get decent results. No issue at all. Much easier to control than I expected. and the learning curve short. The result was better and quicker than what the coping saw could do. I've used a single 40 grit disk to cope inside corners on about 300' total baseboards. Better longevity than I was expecting. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This is an incredible value *by A***V on March 28, 2023* I love these Flap Disc 4 1/2 Inch grinding/sanding wheels. They leave a really smooth working surface on metal, and are perfect for giving welded pieces that nice finished look. My only complaint is that they don't last long, which is particularly disturbing when you pay >$4 or $5 each for them. Buying 20 at a time brings the cost each WAY down. So now I don't think twice about using one to make a project look much better. It is a fantastic value, and the quality is indistinguishable from other sources. This months project, we transplant a Vulcan watercooled v twin vn800cc engine into a custom kart.A few years back, I saw a flapper wheel for the 1st time at my welding supply shop. So, I bought one... they were 14 bucks each! Like the salesman said I would, I loved it. The design performs better than you would expect. All the pads I've used cut well without gouging your metals, this saves time when finish work is being completed. I was concerned about life expectancy of this unit but it perfoms close to the 14 and 15 dollar wheels I've used. One thing I'd like to see is the threaded nut built to pads center for faster change out.Flapper wheels are not going to replace all grinding wheels. You never want to grind out a slot on metal where the pad kind bind and it will not cut... I have 6 or 7 cheap Harbor Freight 4.5 inch grinders setup on my cart since I'm not a commercial user. Financial it makes more since than having 150 dollar grinders the 20$$ grinders work just as well . I have a normal thick grinding wheel,cut off wheel, sand disc,wire wheel, and a few flapper setups with different cutting grits. Besides fighting with cords its seemless and fast between changing my disk needs while building. You can't really go wrong with this product.. the best most over looked positive about a flapper wheel is very little grinder dust comes off them while using...Cheers keep building, fixing,designing, and please take time to teach a kid your skills.
