Joan of Arcadia: The Complete Series

This entire series is one of Hollywood's best efforts. The concept is somewhat unique. It is consistently well written. It is performed well by the entire cast.

We watched this with our daughter when she was around 10 yrs old.She’s a grown, married woman now, and had recently mentioned thatshe’d love to see this again, but couldn’t find anywhere to stream them.I gave this to her as a bday gift. She was thrilled! Such a good series.

When I was a little boy I used to watch it every Friday night on CBS with my mom and loved it so much. Joan was someone I really looked up to alot. It made me do alot of wonderful things (not religiously). Now that I have this DVD and am watching it for the first time since I was little, It's making me an even better person all over again. I can't thank Amber Tamblyn, and the rest of the cast enough for having such a wonderful impact on my life. And thank you so much as well for putting this show on DVD so that I can still to this day enjoy it so much ❤

I loved the series when it was on television ages ago. I was getting ready to have a back surgery and I am collecting DVDs to watch during my recovery. When I saw this I thought I just got to see it. The picture quality is good and series is this good as I remember.

Love this series! It’s a non-cheesy way of teaching morals and values to teens and adults. A teenaged girl sees God regularly- He is disguised in everyday people. Joan is challenged to make right choices and discovers that in doing so, good takes place and sometimes lives are saved in the process. How I wish we had more shows like this on TV today. The only down side is that this show got cancelled just when the tables were about to turn. The acting is quite good and you will enjoy the characters. Wish this series would come back and pick up right where it left off!

I am a fan of Barbara Hall, executive director and Renaissance woman. She was involved with "Judging Amy" and "Madam Secretary". I am very disappointed with Start TV which had recently included Joan of Arcadia in its programming - first at 1AM, then at 5AM. Whose idea was that? Their decision to drop it pushed me to buy the DVD series. I don't need them anymore. As usual you also get additional scenes and commentary. If you want to know more about the series, go and search on youtube. You will find episodes and extended interviews. Nothing is better than having your own copy.

Enjoyed this series when it first ran, recently decided I’d like to have it at the house. Not an obvious choice for me, I’m far from religious.Have only watched the pilot episode, but the box (12 DVDs) seems sturdy.No subtitles. A real disappointment for me.At my age dialogue is often unclear. Also, subtitles often include information on soundtrack music. So I’ll have to count on Shazam and/or the IMDB for that._______________________O.K....have now watched the whole series again.Several of the episodes also offer commentaries, which for the most part are invaluable.There are special features on the final disc which include a table read. Priceless!But again, no subtitles is just a crime. There was dialogue I could just not understand, and so I never will.

Some episodes make you think. I love the lead actress in this. I highly recommend this show. You'll enjoy it. A shame it wasn't on longer.

This is a great tv series. Color, picture quality, and sound great. The only the I didn't like was that they cut out the intro music. Part of this series that attracted me was Joan Osborne's song "What if God was one of us"

Aan de serie niets negatiefs te melden. Maar de box bleek regiocode 1 te zijn, en gelukkig heb ik zo'n speler.Het geluid is zacht, moet deze 3x zo hard zetten. Verder GEEN enkele ondertiteling. Dat maakt de box maar 2 sterren, want de serie is 5 sterren.

I ordered x2 of this set, one of them was literally shattered (case and 1 CD) and the remaining CDs wouldn’t play….The other one was okay but would play on DVD players but no consoles
