Stainless steel sink strainer for 3-1/2" to 4" outlet

I used these to replace the sink strainers in a 35 year old porcelain Kohler kitchen sink. I've tried big box store products before and had lots of problems with the thread reach of the basket nut connection. These went on easily. They are well made, sized right and made the project a straight forward, no hassle change out! I wish I'd bought Kohler the last time!The instructions on the plumbers putty could have been better but that's my only critique. The plumbers putty needs time to ooze into place therefore the nut has to be tightened incrementally, waiting 30 seconds or so between tightening's. Finally, when the strainer is properly seated and the putty properly dispersed, the nut won't tighten anymore and that's where you need to be.

Installed easily in my older Kohler porcelain sink. Love the stopper design. Best I have every had.

Replaced strainer that came with sink. This is solid and well made

Read reviews after the fact that when I could not stop the sink from slowly draining out. Turns out it was a common problem. Called Kohler to see if they had a stopper that sealed. The support rep informed me that my unit had been discontinued and they would send the upgraded model (8799-CP) free of charge. It costs twice as much. I accepted because if I exchanged it through Amazon I would have had to pay the difference. Bad news is that Kohlers computer system is down for four days and the rep said it would take 6 days to ship and 4 more days to arrive. Disappointed in Kohler quality but their product support did a good job of making it right.

Flange in chrome is beautiful. Basket is tarnished.

j'en ai acheté 2 pour un évier double en 2020. Ils ont commencé a rouillé +- 1 ans après l'achat. Je pensai bien en achetant supposément de la qualité qu'ils serait encore sous garantie comme les produits Mohan. Mais non!
