Roller Derby Sparkle Girl's Lighted Wheel Roller Skate

These skates fit great (went 1 size larger than shoe size and it was just right). The outer wheels light up with red, white, and blue lights while rolling. They are very distinctive and stand out on the floor. My daughters love them! The quality is very good and they seem quite durable. They do not fatigue the feet after 2-3 hours of skating.I have had parents come up to me and ask me where I got them. The only other colored skates I have seen on the floor have dim red lights and these look much better with their 3-color bright LEDs. These are a great beginner skate and such an improvement over the house rentals. The laces finish with a traditional tie plus a velcro flap that covers the bow to prevent any accidental entanglement. These are a keeper.The only thing negative I can say (and this is not a knock on the product whatsoever) is that there is a bit of an odor when opening the box that dissipates in a few days. I am guessing this is likely due to the white material used. We previously had similar blue ones that had no smell at all. Don't be dissuaded by this just expect a strong scent for the first couple of uses and otherwise have fun. :)

Don't know why the other reviewers are so negative. If you need a basic, beginner skate, these skates fit the description. Love that the outside wheels LIGHT UP :) even after we adjusted the wheels at the skating facility (with proper tools). She can now skate freely without constantly pushing off with her feet, working so hard to just go around the rink. (Which is how they are when the skates are brand new from the factory btw, they must be adjusted). It all depends on how the user prefers the wheel loose or tight. Some may like the wheel to go around easily, others might want to limit the skate wheel tighter. When we adjusted the wheel to spin around without stopping, they are perfect. Keep in mind, they are NOT speed skates, these are beginners. For a child. Perfect for our 9 yr old that needed just that. Regarding size, she wears a 3 tennis shoe and I bought a 4 in the skate. She has room to grow but with a regular sock they are perfect fit, not too large, just roomy. Highly recommend these skates.

Ok Santa Claus got my daughter these skates for Christmas. And I saw the other reviews of the lights going out very quickly within days. So they look very nice, appear to be really good quality but two days of riding them in the house after Christmas the lights are out. Called Roller Derby who states they run on magnets and they will send me new magnets out. So we will see when we get the magnets. It is disappointing the the lights went out so fast, and hopefully that is not a recurring scenario. She really likes these skates. Also if your wondering what that Y is on the size, even Roller Derby doesn't know why they put that on there. She wears size 10.5 and Santa got her size 13, not 13Y just because he went off what Roller Derby said. She has room to grow and were excited. But the lights are the selling point of these skates. Hopefully the new magnets work well.

Ordered for my 6 year old who is a beginner. The outside wheels of the skates light up as they are supposed to and she is in LOVE with the skates. She wears a size 13 in regular shoes and I ordered a size 2. I only ordered a 2 because in the store she tried on a pair similar and liked the way the 2 fit over the 1. She has room in the toes to grow but they are also snug enough on her foot to fit her now. She sould be able to wear these for a couple more years at least.Previous reviewers mention the wheels being "too stiff". Yes, they are a little stiff, however, not a problem for us. Since she is a beginner, I prefer the stiffer wheels while she is learning. She has had no problems skating with them at all. Once she is a little more advanced, if the wheels are still too stiff, then I can always adjust them.Not disappointed.

Amazing! My little girl LOVES these skates. I was a bit concerned as there were mixed reviews, but they have worked great for us. I bought them in March 2013 for my little girl's birthday (8 years old) and the wheels still light up, and she LOVES to skate. I also got them from the amazon warehouse (they didn't have her size anywhere else) so I was very worried that they were going to possibly look used, but it was a risk I was willing to take to get these cute Skates. It was labled "Used- Very Good" condition, and I just have to say they were brand new, not a scratch or ding on them that I could see!! I would definitely reccomend the skates, and if you find some from the warehouse, you most likely will not be disappointed! (I will be buying another pair for my other daughter's birthdya in January :)

All I can say is "WOW". These skates are adorable! I got these for my eight year old daughter and she won't take them off. When you receive these you will get an order form also where you can order more of the lighted wheels which is what I'm gonna do cause I don't ever wanna see them without, they are just that cool. Also, they have it so only the two outer wheels light up so don't get freaked out. The only things I have a problem with are the laces attaching to the velcro strip to the point that I need to buy new laces. So, you can either wait til the laces are destroyed or go ahead out and buy some of the round tight laces, they seem to work and last longer. I totally give these skates a 5+.

I bought these before and wheels were a bit tight, but daughter never complained and the she outgrew so fast. I just got the new ones & wheels are real tight! I took a adjustable wrench to hold tight non light up side wheel bolt. Then a 7/16 socket to loosen the lighted wheel side a tiny 1/4 or less turn. Wheels a are a spinning:) If loosen to much the lights stop working. Lights can stop working if dirty wheels. Take wheels off and clean bearings and magnet ( for lights) put together. This may save you $ on new light parts/skates. I read a few 1-2 star ratings that did not try hard enough or got bad advice. Not all of these skate come tight. Daughter is very happy and that makes me one happy mom!

This is a fantastic product and my Girl loves this. Wheels hardness is 78 and perfect for starters.A tip, when you tighten the wheels they get tightened on one side only. You can switch one of the the bolt and the wheels to tighten the diagonal wheels.The seller is a super guy, he helped me finding the right size. My daughter recently started learning skates and already have a pair of inline skates. To enhance her skills, I purchased Roller Derby Sparkle’s Lighted roller skates for my daughter.The skates are worth buying as these are easily maneuverable and quite sturdy. The shoes are padded and quite comfortable. The outer wheels of both skates are embedded with small lights which glow very bright in night. It helps me locate my daughter easily among others. Interestingly, these lights doesn't need any battery and gets illuminated due to wheel's rotation. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

My daughter is enjoying the skating now as it had light also it is smooth and not too much weight.
