A MUST-BUY book to understand the over-the-top criminal career of George Herbert Walker Bush
Excellent book. Get this book along with The Conspirators: Confessions of an Iran-Contra Insider by Al Martin [which goes into the detail on the Bush Crime Family (especially GHW Bush and Jeb Bush) in Iran-Contra]I am Robert Morrow, JFK assassination researcher with over 200+ books relating to LBJ/CIA murder of John Kennedy. I highly recommend the Immaculate Deception. If I had to buy only ONE book relating to the over-the-top criminality of George Herbert Walker Bush it would be this one. Another good book is the Conspirators: Confessions of an Iran-Contra Insider by Al Martin (in that book Jeb Bush and Oliver North come off looking very, very, very bad.As for this book, there is a lot of evidence that GHW Bush was high ranking Texas CIA in 1963 and may very well have been involved in the JFK assassination. Certainly GHW Bush has been completed devoted to the cover up of the murder of John Kennedy. Then there is GHW Bush's hysterical reaction to reading the transcript of the Smoking Gun tape in Watergate when Richard Nixon referenced the JFK assassination calling it the "Whole Bay of Pigs" thing.2) The 1980 October Surprise caper when the 1980 Reagan campaign made a treasonous deal with the Iranians to NOT release the American hostages until AFTER the November, 1980 general election, thus insuring Jimmy Carter's defeat. I had a former deputy director the CIA tell me to my face that he had no doubt that William Casey was making such a deal, however he did not think GHW Bush was in on the deal because William Casey "hated" GHW Bush... after reading this book, I am not so sure. I think GHW Bush was in on the dirty deal whether he flew to Paris or not.3) Then there is GHW Bush's involvement with the gargantuan CIA drug smuggling of the 1980's at the same time Nancy Reagan was running around saying "Just Say No" to drugs.4) One thing not covered in here is GHW Bush's ties to the Franklin pedophile ring of the 1980's the one run by Lawrence E. King and GOP lobbyist Craig Spence. GWH Bush and his Attorney General Richard Thornburgh did everything in their power to cover that one up, thus protecting many elite homosexual pederasts, most of them Republicans at high levels. Read the Franklin Cover Up and the Franklin Scandal for this info.5) This book came out in 1991 a year before the GHW Bush's criminal intimidation of Ross Perot in the 1992 with CIA Pegasus assassins; please google "Chip Tatum Pegasus." The story of CIA Pegasus assassin is one of the most important ones on the internet.6) Despite its coverage of Iran-contra, one missing piece is the murder of CIA drug smuggler Barry Seal in 1986. Seal was murdered on the orders of GHW Bush, Jeb Bush and Oliver North (according to Al Martin and Chip Tatum)All in all, this is a spectacular book; it is extremely valuable book. You will learn about the ugly reality of the long criminal career of George Herbert Walker Bush. It won't tell you everything, but it covers a good chunk of it.

A Very Heavy Book
There is a TON of information packed into these 200 pages. Event after event, lie after lie, flip flop after flip flop, covert actions after covert action, and lie after lie, this book weighs in on Bush's historical record. Is Bush to blame for the escalation of the drug trade? Read this book for some info on the subject. Read how he hid deals and ownerships of companies that he knew violated Mexican laws. How he supported Saddam Hussien, how he partnered with Hussein and Saudi Arabia to keep oil prices high so his family could make more money. How he was involved with the CIA (although he denied it) back in the late 50s and early 60s. What does he know about the Kennedy assassination? He gave a briefy the day after to government officials. He denied being in the Iran-contra loop but he set up the connections for it. He continued to pay Noriega over $100,000 a year while Noriega was stealing U.S. intelligence and running drugs to the United States with CIA cover. What was his role in the delaying of the Iran Hostages release? A national black mark that folks have not heard enough of. He gave Hussein the go-ahead to invade Kuwait and then attacked him. How he had to be ordered by the Supreme Court to stop lobbying the IRS on behalf of drug companies when he was VP.The list goes on and on and on and one. Read this book and have your eyes opened. It will entice you to read more on the sad subject of the life or priveledge and abuse of power. And everyone thought Clinton was the worst, when the facts come out on Bush it would be hard to decide who was the worst.

A significant part of the larger mosaic of corruption.
This is a valuable book for those who want a glimpse of the darker side of government. Though the author focuses on former President George H. W. Bush and his ingenuity in furthering his interests while maintaining a façade of oblivion and good intentions, the reader is ultimately exposed to a larger context where arms dealers, intelligence agents, and high-ranking officials mingle along ill-defined lines. Don't misunderstand; this is not a conspiracy book with random assertions. More accurately, it's a taste of the machinations that are hidden from the ordinary citizen. Interests, of course, don't always coincide, but this is not the point. The lack of ethics conveyed in this book is alarming and sadly deplorable. In this regard, however, Bush seems like the rule rather than the exception. He along with so many others have efficiently played their games before the nation's eyes, often hiding behind the convenient blanket of "national security."At times, the author's narrative contains notable gaps and scanty development, particularly in the early entries, but the later arguments--especially those dealing with Iran-Contra--are better supported. One of his best chapters is on the "October Surprise," for it is thoroughly documented with reputable sources. One wishes he would have been as consistent in all chapters, but if readers are clever enough, they can find corroboration in other books. A bibliography is not provided, but the footnotes are useful for verification purposes.Overall, it's a directly written exposé that should at the very least enrage us, and though the research might occasionally suffer from redundancy and murky conclusions, its central thesis remains painfully substantiated.

Interesting but outdated
If you know nothing beyond the TV news, this book should give you some insider knowledge. However, much of it is out of date. This book is 30 years old. A lot has happened since then.

Not quite as advertised
Despite the blurb, this really doesn't quite end up being cutting edge disclosure. Unlike eg: The Secret Team or The Conspirators, and despite the author's background, this isn't a first person tale witnessing their participation in crimes by the Bush family. It ends up being allegations, legitimate questions, dubious behaviour, and reported events from other works and authors. Worth reading as an overview, but long after this was written, Bush's son became president for two terms.... It takes a lot to unseat the powerful, and this clearly wasn't enough.
