Reach the bottom of large Soup Pots with room to spare.
I cook lots of soups big pots & small pots. I needed a spoon to reach the bottom of large pots without dunking ones hand in the soup. It's not a flimsy spoon, but sturdy & will stir a large pot of soup down to the bottom of the pot.

Sturdy, wide handle, with a giant spoon head
The spoon is definitely sturdy, but they shipped in inside of a bubble wrapped envelope vs. a box. It was bent by the shipping company prior to arrival. The photo online is a little misleading because the spoon size appears very small, when in reality it is enormous. I didn't mind that though. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the handle is very wide and not smooth enough (not sharp enough to cut me, but felt like freshly cut unpolished metal). I would have preferred it to be narrower and much smoother than it is. I will return it because it will wear my hand trying to stir the pot.

Holy cow is this thing big
Perhaps I should not have used man measurements (12 inches really turns out to be a lot less). This spoon is huge. It works great for stirring a large boiling pot for brewing beer. It would also make a good paddle for a canoe in a pinch and if an intruder ever enters my house I am no longer reaching for a bat - this thing would do come damage.

just like I expected
It is a big metal spoon, just like I expected, what is to be disappointed about? This is a decently thick metal gauge while also having a ridge run all the day down the length of the handle giving it much more structural integrity. Unsure how anyone can complain about the sturdiness of it, are you mixing cement? Only thing I can think of is maybe an older "version" didn't have the ridge to prevent it from bending?

No sticker gunk and thick metal
I don’t usually review things but I wanted to let people know that this is a thick, strong, high-quality spoon and the sticker problem has been resolved. No residue at all.I was fully expecting to return a crappy spoon but was very pleasantly surprised.

Works as a canoe paddle in a pinch.
This spoon is HUGE. I had ordered an umbrella at the same time and they came in identical packaging and I was confused until I opened the spoon. It's hilarious, actually. We have to store it on top of the fridge because it's too big for any of the drawers. Also has trouble fitting in the dish washer. That said, it works for our giant stock pot when making mashed potatoes for twelve people or similar endeavors so I'm happy with it.

Good Homebrew Utensil
What can I say, It's a spoon?. It certainly did its job though. I was able to get my liquid malt extract completely stirred in with no trace malt burnt to the bottom of the pot using a high power turkey fryer burner. This is a restaurant utensil. It's sturdy enough, and long enough to reach from the bottom to about an inch over the top of a stainless steel turkey fryer pot for stirring homebrew wort. If I needed to buy another one, I'd probably go for the 24" version to keep the end of the handle out of the steam - it gets a little warm boiling over five gallons, but no too hot to handle. Definitely worth the money.

Works, but not my favorite
This is an ok spoon. It doesn’t seem super sturdy to me as well as the edges on mine were a little rough. Not sharp or anything, but I brew in a bag and was worried about it snagging my bag so I went back to my plastic spoon in the mash. I also would have liked the end of the spoon to be rounder, it’s too pointed in my opinion.
