Dog needed it
Repeat buyer: Our dog has a GI disease and needs to take b12 because she doesn't absorb that nutrient well from her food. She loves these tablets. I call them treats and she gobbles them up. Makes giving this suppliment super easy. I can't really say how well it works. She has PLE (Protein Loss Entrophy) and it is recommended to add B12. If she has two much b12 it is water soluble and flushes out. To do a blood test for b12 it is not part of the senior dog panel she rountinely get that costs a lot of money. It's a separate stand alone test for several hundred dollars. So I do not know what her B12 levels were before starting this suppliment or currently.

EPI friendly vitamin
Great for dog with EPI, they’ve been using this for a year and their levels are good so far! And no need to give an injection, this is a godsend for my needle shy husky!

good vitamins
My German Shepherd has been taking these for years and he thinks it’s a treat. It was recommended by a specialist that we went to for food allergies about 4 years ago.

Great and Highly Effective for B12 Deficiency
This supplement was ordered by my vet to treat what was presumed to be a B12 deficiency that was causing GI issues in my dog. However, the biggest benefit and surprise is that my 14 1/2 year old dog had been sundowning for a few weeks and it completely disappeared after the first dose of this supplement. He has not had another incident of confusion, pacing or strange behavior since I started him on this supplement. It’s also helping his GI issues. My vet said that there has been a link between B12 and sundowning with humans and studies that it can be effective in dogs. The pills can be chewed or put in pill pockets to get your dog to take them and they seem to be highly effective.

So Far, So Good!
I’ve got an almost 6 year old German Shepherd, a bit on the small side, pretty thin, and currently hovers at about 62 pounds, but has been as high as 73. His GI system has always been somewhat chaotic. He tested negative for EPI about 4 years ago, but it wasn’t until I actually saw the test results, that he was off the charts low for vitamin B-12. I spoke with a couple “experts” in the field and they weren’t reassuring of B-12 supplements. Two summers ago, his weight went up to 73 pounds. So, I started digging. What was so different about that summer. We had an exceptional wild blueberry crop, and the dogs spent hours grazing on blueberries. The mass of the berries had little to do with his weight gain, but research revealed that wild blueberries were high in B-12. I stress wild blueberries. I began searching for other natural sources of B-12 and beef liver is an excellent source, but one must be careful as to how much beef liver one feeds their dog. I’ve transitioned to frozen wild blueberries, continued with beef liver, spoke with my Vet and he said B-12 supplements might be the ticket. So, in a long winded way, I’m about 40 days into the experiment. I’ve been keeping records on his feeding, supplements, etc, hoping to stumble upon the holy grail. I’m continuing with the beef liver, 30-40 grams per evening meal along with a healthy amount of wild blueberries, and one tablet of B-12. Stools have been more consistently firm, and smaller in volume, and this during a time when dogs are getting into all matter of “stuff” in the woods they probably would be better off not eating (Spring thaw in the Northwoods of Minnesota). I merely drop a tablet into his food bowl, mix it up with everything else, and down the hatch it goes. I’m not expecting miracles, but so far so good!
